Chapter 8

Lillian

I open the door of his mansion only to meet the darkness. Loneliness which was dominating in here. It was so dark outside so Avery drop me here from the hospital.

" You came " a harsh voice greeted me when I entered into the devil's mansion .

"Yes" I replied.

"Ho i thought you are staying there life long "

"Um ".

I don't understand what he was saying as I was so weak and sleepy, so I starts walking towards my bedroom. But suddenly I was thrown to the near by wall . I look at him , he was now fuming with anger. what's with him.

"Read it ". He throws a card on to my face .

I read it . It was an invitation for us from Ryder's family.

"How did they came to know about our marriage. Tell me! " he shouted at me.

"I..I don't kn..ow "

" you don't know wow ! What an answer miss Ray .You not even start your job but you know how to catch everyone's eye". he said mockingly.

"I didn't t..ell " tears formed in my eyes.

"You are indeed a great actress " he said

A pain formed in my wrist as because of his strong hold.

"It's hurting...you are hurting my hand " I said .

Then he apply more pressure.

"Let me go..."let me go...." please...l beg you...please what...why are you doing this.... l... l don't...." before i could complete...

"Enough!" He roar , then he slap at my face, then walk out from my room. Leaving me alone in that dark room.

I collapsed into the floor. Tear are coming out from my eyes.

"Why you hate me...!" i shouted at his retreated path .

"Why... why god.. why me... why my life is like this... god can you please sent someone for please.." I cried and cried. My eyelids start dropping and darkness welcomes me.

"Ma'am...Ma'am" a voice make me to open my eyes then I see a young man who was looking at me with a sweet smile.

"Ma'am you were sleeping in the floor when I entered here".

"Who are you " I asked him.

"Ma'am my name is victor and I'm working here".

" ma'am..

"You can call me lily and I am not your madam." His face shows a confusion." I am one among you " I said to him.

"But..."

"victor you came" I heard devil's voice. I turn to leave but stopped when I heard chris voice when he call me.

"Lily what happened. Why your eyes are swollen and red ". He ask me with concern.

"I think she overslept that's why her eyes are swollen Chris ". He said mockingly.

"But matt.."

"I am ok chris. Like he said I overslept". I said to chris but he shake his head like he doesn't believe what I had said.

"Chris, are you coming" he asked chris with anger. Chris nodded his head

Then he turned towards victor and said " tell Edward and David to come directly to my office when they come". With that he turned his heel but before he turn he look straight at me with that emerald eyes, our eyes meet a goosebumps formed in me when I meet at his eyes.

" Victor I think love is on air " chris said

And that makes me to broke from my frozen state.

"Hey lily " a person called we all turn our heads to see David and behind him Edward was coming towards us.

"I think, as you are here please escort them" victor suddenly said to chris.

"Are you afraid of David, victor ". Chris ask him teasingly.

"No why should l. And I have so many works in there so I am taking my leave sir " he said and rushed towards the kitchen.

He is a mysterious one . I thought to myself.

"Lily..lily..."

"Um.." .

" you were zooming out ". David said to me.

"You meet her Davy" this was from Edward.

"Yeah at hospital " he said to Edward.

" Um...lily I.. ". Edward open his mouth to say but,

"I will take my leave, please excuse me " with that I turn and leave them there. I was not in a mood for any talk or anything. What I want was to leave from here from this devil's den. I rush towards my room and collapsed onto my bed and stare at the ceiling. I don't know when I close my eyes or drift into my dream but one thing I know is, I felt fingers on my cheek, caring and it was so warm I tilted my head towards that warm hand then I felt a similar feeling...the feeling...

"Hey why are you crying". I heard a voice.

Turning my head I see a handsome boy looking at with his beautiful emerald eyes.

"Nothing, i am not crying. It's tears..it simply coming out " I said to him, sweeping my tears with the my hand.

"That's what is what you call crying " he replied.

I get up from my place to move away from here with the same time he also got up from his place and come near to me.

"Hey why are you crying. You know I don't like liars " he said to me.

"No..

"Lily ....lily..."

"Ho no my brother is coming please don't tell him...please..." i pleaded.

"Am ok ...i will not tell him but you have to tell me".

"Why you care " I asked him.

"Lily why are you here... alone" my brother asked me.

I turn to look at the place where he had been there a few minutes but now it's empty

" reading book leo, i want to be alone" I said to him.

"Are you ok? " he asked me.

"Yes leo I am fine " I said to him .

"Are you sure lily, your eyes are red what happened".he turn my face "You were crying right. Who did this to you tell me." He said angrily.

"No leo. it's the novel. It's story make me sad" I said.

"Why are you reading this kind of stuff that makes you cry. Don't read these .I don't want my princess to be sad".

"No leo it's a good romantic novel. You can go leo ,I want to finish this ".

"Umm..you can read it in home, now come.."

"Leo I want to read this alone ....please it will finish soon. I will be there ."

"ok.....don't take so long. Be there in half an hour ok"

"Ok ."

"love you princess ". With that he went out.

I stood there for few seconds.

" so lily why did you cry " his voice make me straggled out from my state.

" it's not.."

"No you had promised me. That you will tell the reason.so tell me. "

"it my...classmates they...bullies me..telling that our father leave us because we are worthless....and....ugly " I cried.

"hey , lily don't cry " he hold my face in his palm and sweep my tears and said " lily , don't mind those stupids. You are are a precious diamond don't let their words to stop your glow. Always shine and show them who you really are and you are not alone you have your brother, mother and me..

"I..i don't know.. who you are?".

"but I do know you...my lily " with that he walk away....
