Chapter 13

Lillian

He threw me to the room, closed the door behind him, and walked towards me like a predator ready to pronounce towards his prey.

I started backing for each step he took towards me. It continues till I get slammed into the wall and he places his hands on both sides of my head and now I was trapped between him and the wall.

“ What did I tell you miss Ray, “ he asks.

I look down and keep quiet.

“ What did I told you “ this time sound of his words was like thunder.

“Answer me you dammit, “ he said and hold my chin and forced me to look at him. When my eyes meet his emerald ones I feel a shiver run of my spine.

“not to show…up for the party, “ I said with a shatter

“ And what had you done “

“ I..I.. wasn’t "

“Stop with your nonsense excuses and I know that you did it purposely. Right “ he said looking straight at me.

“ What! Why should I… wait you think that I had done it purposely. why should I do that.” I replied with anger.

"Because you want the bloody attention and want the title as Mrs. Wilson and now you succeed with your act in front of my mom."

" excuse me I wasn't the one who wants this marriage. You forced me to marry you and destroyed my life." I said to him.

" yeah, I married you just to make your life hell but don't want the world to know that this crap is my wife".

Before I could think, I slapped him right at his face. How dare he call me that. He stands there like a statue as he didn't expect the slap.

" yeah maybe for you," I said and turn around.

I walk towards the door and bit my lip not to get broken in front of him. But before I could open the door I was thrown to the wall and the next thing I feel was the lip of his meet mine kissing me like he wants to burst it and bite his teeth on my lower lip. I push him with all my strength but he growled and deepen the kiss. He tried to put his tongue inside but I didn't open it, but when his hand slide towards my waist and when he squeezed it a gasp formed in my mouth and this allowed him to put his tongue inside my mouth. When his tongue meet mine the anger in me towards him disappeared. ho, god how can be he is such a good kisser and a monster at the same time. I melted in his arm and slowly pull him towards me and kiss him.

But a knock on the door makes me come back to my present. Suddenly he pushed me away from him and gave me a look like it was all my fault and charged towards the door and open with a growl.

" what," he asked with a growl.

" um...matt, mom ask both of you to come there as you two were missing "

"But, don't worry I will tell mom that you two are busy.." I heard Chris's voice.

" You won't," Matthew said with a growl.

"Then try me, Matt," he said and run out.

Then I heard him cursed under his breath.

I look at him but suddenly divert it when I see his eyes.

I can feel his eyes on me.

A silence formed in the room. I was not ready to look at him, after that kissing episode.

“Are you going to sit here all day? “ he said.

I stood up from there and walk past him and I can feel his presence behind me as he was walking so close and then I jerk out when I feel his hand around my waist. I look at him but he was looking at something or someone. I tilt my head to look in his direction, but it was all the darkness I meet.

“ You were here” I heard daisy's cherry voice suddenly his hand tightened around my waist.

He turned and smiled at daisy.

“she was having a headache, “ he said and look at me with concern.

What an actor. He will get an Oscar award for his performance.

“ Are you okay dear?” she asked with concern.

“um..”

“ she is fine mom. I think she needs some rest" he said like a sweet husband.

“Are..you pregnant “ daisy asked with a shine in her eyes.

My eyes widen and I feel the heat on my cheek

“ No...No..” I shook my head.

" No mom she just had a headache, that's all and, now, see she is fine, right, Lilian," he said.

" yes...I'm fine Mrs wi...mom" she gave me a bright smile. Then her eyes suddenly go wide when she looks through my shoulder.

" oh my...Avery, dear" she said and welcome her with a motherly hug.

" How are you Avey"

" I'm good Mrs. Wilson and I can see those shining twinkles in your eyes and those lovely smiles so I got that you are looking so happy right " she replied with her natural smile.

" Avery, how many times does I had told you that you can call me mom or daisy" to her reply Avery only just smile towards her. Then her eyes meet mine.

" hi lily," Avery said to me.

" you both know each other" daisy asks Avery.

" yeah... she works with me," Avery said slowly and carefully.

'' Avery I know you know about lily and matt "

" mom knows it ave," ava said from her behind.

Avery's face becomes pale.

''I'm sorry Mrs. Wilson please do forgive me... please..."

" will forgave you if you stop calling Mrs. Wilson and helps me in preparing the wedding of matt''.

"yes..yes of course...daisy"

"perfect...I can't wait for that day where my matt is getting married ." daisy exclaimed happily.

'' daisy...daisy" we heard aunt Amy's voice.

" mom I think aunt Amy is calling you," Ava said to her mother.

"coming Amy," daisy said and went towards her.

" So how does she knows about this" Avery ask us.

"It's through sam. aunt thought he was the one who was engaged to Lily when she saw her ring then he blurts out saying that it was matt and she, accidentally mom hear it then mom ask matt and he told the truth that they both are married and then mom wants a grand wedding and now she asks your help for planning it. End of the story" Ava said with a dramatic sigh.

" oh no Ryder was soo in trouble," Avery said.

"Haa, yes if matt had got him alone he will be dead, and poor him, he is now with aunt who is so happy to drag him all through the crowd and ho and those moms are now shooing their unmarried daughters at him. poor guy ". they both laugh. I really feel sympathy for that guy.

we then talk about our small things like tv-shows, and how much ava hates those plastic actresses and models who are calling her all-time asking for meetups or for dinner so that they can get close to her brothers. Then about her experience in school as a teacher and how she is coping with those energy crackers.

" So Lily, please don't think that he is a monster. I know he was hard on you but please give him time then you can find the real matt. " Avery said to me when ava excused herself for taking a phone call.

I gave a questioning look at her.

"I had seen the way he acted around you but he has still had a good in him. please give him some time."

"Avery had you brought the file I asked you, " Matthew asked from nowhere, I look at him but his eyes were now focused on Avery only.

" Here matt," she said and handed him a black file from her bag.

" you came here alone "

" no, a friend drop me here,"

"I will ask Thomas to drop you at home," he said with concern.

"it's fine matt, I'm leaving"

"it's getting dark Avery,"

"I will call a.. ".

"No...Chris calls Thomas to drive every back home " he said to Chris.

" yep, ave follows me," Chris said and motion Avery to follow his lead.

" that's not needed"

" Avery, matt is right it's getting dark Thomas will drop you, dear".

she let a sigh and gave us a quick goodbye and follow his lead.

“ Daisy, we are leaving. See you tomorrow and lily dear.” Amy said and hugged us.

Then sam hugged daisy and said goodbye to us.

When I look for Matthew he was not there.

My thoughts get interrupted when daisy spoke “ lily I really really like you, dear. I was truly happy for both of you.” She said and took my hands and continued “ he may be tough but he really likes you and I see it in his eyes and please gave this old lady a promise. A promise that you will never live him alone will you”.

I Strand there searching for the words…any words to make her happy even though I want to tell her that all things were not real but I don’t want her to become sad so I keep quiet and gave her a slight nod.

Suddenly Daniel approached us with a smile and ask daisy to go with him but she said she was staying with us but he compelled her to go with him but she refused each time for his request.

“I’m staying here," she said.

“ But mom…it’s been a long time you hadn’t come to my penthouse..”

“ I’m not going anywhere Dany. I'm now staying here and there is plenty of time to visit your penthouse and I'm really tired " she said.

" fine mom and good night," he said and kissed her forehead.

" drive carefully ok, good night son," she said and patted his face.

My heart swells when I see this moment, It was this love I carved in my life but hadn't get, a drop of tears fall from my eyes I suddenly brush with my handkerchief.

"Good night dear," she said, and give me a motherly hug "Good night" I replied then we parted, she went to her room and me towards my room but a hand on my wrist makes me stop in my path. I turn to see Matthew was holding my wrist

"Where do you think you are going"

" To my room"

" No, you will sleep in my room until mom leaves " with that he drags me towards a room.

" Not in my life I'm sleeping with you I'm going to my room, now leave my hand," I said twisting my hand from his hold.

"I don't have the time for this drama, either you just follow me or your brother will be going to suffer "

I suddenly stopped what I'm doing.

" and for your information, we are not sleeping together, you are going to take the floor " with that he left the room.
