Those four words changed the atmosphere around us. West’s eyes darkened as he stared at me with pride and desire all over his face. How many times had I wished for it all to be a dream? That I’d wake up next to West and realize that my biological mother wasn’t evil, and that he’d never betrayed me. His face is inches from mine and I can feel his breath hot against my cheeks.
