Anna fell quiet for a moment, then spoke softly.
"Mr. Assistant, please tell him this—his heart's condition has nothing to do with me. I truly don't care. I once had a lover named David. He was my college classmate. He was a wonderful man, and we were going to get married. Unfortunately, an accident took his life. Before he died, he signed an organ donation form and gave his heart to someone in need. Later, the organization called me and said his heart had been given to a man named Luka Hunt, who lived in the same city as me."
She let out a mocking laugh, bitterness in her eyes. "You have no idea how happy and relieved I was. I thought David's heart was still alive, that he was with me in another way. So I approached Luka on my own and stayed by his side for three years."
