Delilah ~
The nerve of that man, to think he has the right to control me. If only he knew what I could do to him. I get back in the room and slam the door shut. The window looks locked and I'm sure that if I could even get it opened, there would be guards patrolling around it. God, this is giving me flashbacks, and not the good kind. No, no I'm not going down that road ever again, I promised him. I sit Indian style on the floor between the window and the bed and begin to meditate. Something that he taught me to do when I feel like my emotions were getting too high or out of control. Within twenty minutes I have my emotions under control enough to at least think clearly. Ok so, I'm stuck in a pack house, that belongs that the pack that everyone bows down too, and their Alpha is my mate. God, why did I have to catch that rabbit in that spot, maybe if the Moon Goddess had chosen someone else as his mate they could've just thrown me in the dungeons and killed me. I wouldn't've mind, then I would have been with him.
My thoughts are interrupted as the door opens and none other than Alpha Michael walks in with a pile of clothes.
"Go shower, put these on then come downstairs. My parents wants to meet. I personally don't want them too but they're stubborn and once they heard I found my mate they are ecstatic. So, you're gonna go down there and act like a submissive little bitch." I just glared at him even after he left and closed the door. I sigh, there's no point in fighting him. I grab the clothes and open the bathroom door. Nicest bathroom I remember. I put the water on really cold because that's how I'm used to showering.
After three minutes I have all of the dirt off of me, now my hair is the hard part. I don't have a hairbrush so it's pretty much always knotted together. Seven minutes of pulling at my hair and I can finally run my hands through my hair without yanking it out of my scalp. I turn off the water and grab the towel on the rack. I dry myself off and then change into the clothes. It was a pair of black ripped jeans and a long sleeved crop top. I pull my shirt down as much as I can and my pants up as it shows the scar that rests on my stomach. There is socks and a pair of combat boots next to the door. I go downstairs. I see an older looking man holding hands with a beautiful middle aged woman. I would say the man is hot if it weren't for the fact he was older than me, had a mate, and his son was my supposed mate.
They stop talking when I walk in, but I don't drop my head and bow in respect, my stubbornness won't allow me too. I can see Michael doesn't like that I'm not bowing to them, but I could actually care less. His mum walks up to me and tries to hug me but I step back and hold my hand out. She looks a little taken a back by this.
"I'm sorry but I don't do hugs." She nods and shakes my hand.
"Well dear, my name is Caroline, but you may call me Carol or even mum if you'd like." My eyes widen and I quickly respond with,
"I'm not sure that's appropriate ma'am, besides I wont be around long enough for me to know you enough. Besides, only a child should call their mother mum." Again, she looks taken a back. Michael's father walk to me and tries to size me up. I don't bow my head instead I look straight up, having a mini staring competition with him. He reaches out his hand and I shake it firmly.
"Leonard." Is all he says. Seems like he's a man of few words, I like him already.
"Delilah." I respond back to him and he nods. Michael clears his throat and asks his parents to sit down, then motioning me to sit next to him. I sit on the other side of the couch to him, keeping my distance as much as I can. His mother breaks the silence and asks me,
"What is you last name dear, I swear I've seen you before?" I shrug at the meeting part but I know I can't tell her my last name, so I make up one.
"Jordan. My last name is Jordan." Well, it could have been better but hey, who cares what they think.
"Well I think you have a very lovely name. Delilah Jordan, have you ever been called DJ before, because maybe that could be your ne-" I know where she's going with this so I yell,
"NO! I don't like that name and I don't ever, EVER, want to be called that." Now she and Michael look curious where as Leonard looks the same. Blank face and no emotions shown. I like him the best, everyone else has too many emotions.
"I'm sorry dear I just thought maybe a cute little nickname would be nice." She looks super guilty and I kind of feel bad but I cant let my feelings cloud my judgement. These aren't good people, my 'mate' is keeping me against my will here, well not really but he has the only important thing in my life right now, and the two sitting in front on me made him so therefor, they are just as bad as him.
"No mum, don't apologise to her, it should be the other way around. You were trying to be nice and she lashed at you, so, apologise Delilah." Then he leans closer to my ear and whispers,
"Or do you want that pretty picture to turn to ashes?" I glare at him and with any and all courage I have inside my little body I say,
"I'm sorry ma'am, but please don't ever call me that again." She nods and then smiles at me. Caroline just continues to ask questions, some of which I can answer, some I lie about or just refuse to answer. Then Leonard speaks up.
"What species are you? I know you're not human, and most certainly not a wolf, so, how did you get into this part of the forest without help." I don't answer and just stare at him until Michael growls and says,
"Answer him, or the photo is gone!" I still say nothing but instead I start conjuring a little spell which will make the photo appear in my back pocket. Once I feel it there I smirk at Michael.
"What, you mean this photo?" I ask sarcastically while taking the photo out of my back pocket. He looks shocked.
"What how did you do that? I locked you in the room and kept that in a safe which only I know the password to."
"Well, if I told you, I'd have to kill you, and I'm sure there are a lot of girls who still haven't had a taste of you yet and want to, myself not included." We glare at each other before Leonard starts laughing.
"I got it out for her son. Now, I need to have a little chat with your mate, privately." Michael nods and helps his mother up and informs us, well, more so his father, that they're going to make snacks and we're going to take a walk.
Leonard stands and motions for me to follow him and we walk out into the private garden of the Alpha's house. Once we're far enough away for Michael not to hear us Leonard stops and looks at me.
"What does a witch like you have to do with werewolves. We don't exactly like your kind so speak up before I tell my son what you are and he has you killed." I wonder how he figured it out.
"I'll tell you if you tell me two things. One, how did you find out I was a witch and two, why don't wolves like witches?" He answers quickly.
"I could see that when you were trying to make that photo appear your eyes flashed purple for a second, luckily, my mate or son didn't see that because you would have been executed then and there, and we don't like witches because we used to have a peaceful life with them until they decided to attack one day and that left most of our pack dead. So now, your part of the deal." By now we were sitting on a porch swing that hung to a tree.
"Well, I didn't have it easy growing up, and when I finally got a chance to make it easier I took it. I was on the run from some bad guys and have been for a long while. I was hunting out on the border of your sons territory, only I didn't know it was territory then. Your son came, he basically kidn*pped and blackmailed me into staying here with him, and then I met you and your mate. That's it."
"Well, as depressing as that is I still don't know why you are on the run, or were?" This is one stubborn man I tell ya.
"I am on the run from the people who kidn*pped me." He looked a bit shocked.
"Ya, didn't think that the stubborn, annoying little human was on the run from kidnappers, did ya?" I then stood up and dusted my hands on my leg. I blew out a breath and then turned to face Leonard.
"Now, I'm going to go inside to see if the snacks are ready." Then I begin to walk back inside, but before I go out of the little area we are in I turn and ask him,
"You wouldn't mind keeping this to yourself, would you? It's safer for everyone, your mate and son included if no one else hears what you have to say." Then I go back inside just as Caroline comes out the back door.
