Michael ~
I'm now sitting in my office with a glass of bourbon in my hands. I seriously cannot believe my parents both took her side. I'm their son, they should always take my side. I shake my head and continue to think about why my parents would take her side? A knock on the door brings me back to the real world.
"Come in." Aaron walks in with a bit of a weird look on his face.
"Alpha, there was an intruder found around the border. They don't seem to be werewolf. They have requested to meet you but refuse to do it anywhere but the border." I nod, gulp down the rest of my drink and make my way the border. Once I reach there the intruder looks at me and smirks.
"Alpha Michael, I presume. My name is-"
"What are your intentions on my land?" He smiles at me which gives me a massive scowl on my face.
"Well, you see, I'm here to see Delilah." I growl. Like hell he is going to see her.
"You're not going to see her. Now, if that's all. Leave or I'll put you in the dungeons." He laughs.
"Oh Alpha, you couldn't keep me in there if you tried. Now, tell Delilah, Boaz is here to see her." Despite not wanting to, I find myself mind linking my father to tell Delilah a Boaz is here to see her. My father tells me he informed Delilah and they're on the way. Not even a minute later Delilah runs through the clearing and stops as she sees Boaz standing there. How the hell did she get here so fast? It would have taken about ten minutes if she was running in human form, but she got her in a tenth of that time.
She looks worried that he's here but he smiles at her and then she's in his arm giving him a hug. He kisses her forehead and I can see a tear or two fall from his eye.
"I'm so sorry Lilah, I promise I will make it up to you." She shakes her head no.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't've have had DJ taken away. It was my fault."
"Ich liebe dich so sehr, Lilah." What the f**k language is that? [Translation - I love you so much Lilah.]
"Ich liebe dich auch Boaz." How the f**k does she know how to speak whatever language that is? [Translation - I love you too Boaz.]
"Well as lovely as this is, I need to know why the hell you are on my land? And what language is that?" I think they just remembered that other people were here too so Delilah lets go of this 'Boaz' and stands right next to him. Delilah sneers at me and Boaz laughs.
"I'm on your lands as I had to speak to my little cousin. As for the language, why would we tell you that? So you can go and google what we just said and then listen in on out conversations from now on? I don't think so Alpha." Delilah giggles at that and I growl at the disrespect but also that he could make her laugh when I should be the only one allowed to do that. I'm about to say something else when my father cuts me off.
"Boaz it's nice to meet you, I've heard a little bit about you. Would you like to come back to my house and we can discuss things further there?" He smiles and reaches out his hand to my father.
"It's very nice to meet you sir." My father smiles and waves him off. My father never smiled at me like that.
"Please, call me Leonard and my house is this way." They walk off and continue talking about things. I'm furious at the disrespect he just showed me and the also that my father smiled at him and offered their house to him. I seriously don't understand what's wrong with people and their obsession with this girl.
"Michael! Are you gonna go back now or just stand there looking into the abyss?" My Beta teased but I wasn't in the mood so I just pushed past and walked straight to my office where Janice was once again sitting. This time she had actual clothes on. I sigh and walk behind my chair.
"What is it you want Janice?" She stands and walks over to my desk and pushes both of her shoulders back with her posture straight.
"I'm here on official pack business Alpha." I nod at her to continue so she does. "Last week there was sighting of rogues around the border, but none ever attacking. Every week for the past three months that's been happening, but every time the rogues are back there is one more accompanying them. There isn't enough rogues with that last group that was here to beat us but I'm worried that if they have more rouges waiting for just the right moment to attack. I suggest, and I can't believe I'm about to suggest it, but I recommend that Delilah help out with training. More specifically run it. I know a good fighter when I see one and she's one of if not the best fighter I've seen." I scoff lightly at that but Janice either doesn't notice or doesn't care as she continues. "People have improved since she trained us and some even wanted her to come back. Despite her methods, she is a good teacher and did help us with getting better at assessing our opponents weakness' and strengths and how to fasten response time." I look up at Janice and can see a bit of jealously but also wonder in her voice.
"I'll think about it, now leave." She bows and leaves closing the door behind her. I lean back and let my head fall backwards. I think for a few minutes about how this girl who looks like she hasn't had a proper meal in a while just came into my life and switched it up completely. I shake my thoughts away before looking down at my desk and seeing all the paperwork I have to complete. Gosh this will take a while.
