Chapter 4

While the three were busy talking about how they missed eating on the sea side, we walked to the gate. After an hours of planning, they decided to visit the sea side cafes where we used to hangout before. Sabi nila eversince I left hindi na daw sila nakapunta dun. Ewan ko ba, may sariling paa naman sila.

"Anyway, how are we going to get there pala?" Xia inquired, her hair constantly flipped.

"Lilipad tayo 'te, jusko ka." Sagot ni Krisha.

"Huh? Lilipad tayo? How?" Tanong ni mau na as usual malayo pa ang lalakadin papuntang reality.

A normal day at school for me, habang may nagtatalo sa gilid ko. I cast my gaze around, looking for the guys para mahatid itong dalawa kasi isa lang makakaangkas sa big bike ko. I spotted them not that far away from us at parang nagmamadali? Saan ang lakad ng mga 'to at bakit kompleto sila. Wow.

I dialed Kale's number while watching them from the gate. Nakasakay na sila sa mga motor nila nang mapatingin kay Kale dahil siguro rinig nila na may tumawag.

Krisha inquired, "What are we waiting for?"

"Himala 'te." pabalang na sagot ni Xia.

I was preoccupied with the guys and didn't pay attention to Krisha.

"Girl, don't tell me sa kanila kami sasakay?!" Overreacting, xia said.

I was waiting for Kale to pick up the phone, Kale said something and dissapointment shown in their faces. Hindi ko rinig kasi ang iingay ng mga students na dumadaan. Hinampas pa nga ni Ino ang tank ng motor niya na parang naiinis. Something's suspicious...

"Where are you guys heading to?" I asked Kale who's on the other line. He finally picked up my call.

"Yow, pupunta kaming arcade, nag-aya si Ino maglaro ng billiards. Wanna come?" He answered. Nakita ko pa silang nagsisenyasan na parang mga abnoy.

"No, ipapahatid ko lang sina Xia at Krish sa seaside. Isa lang maaangkas ko."

"Girl, don't tell me sa kanila kami sasakay?!" Padabog na tanong ni Krish sa kilid ko.

I was too preoccupied with the lads and didn't answer Krisha.

On the phone, Kale said, "Where are you?"

I told him to turn around, and he did. When his gaze fell on us, he smiled. Hinanap din ng iba kung saan nakatingin si Kale at nakita kami.

"Aye, aye captain!" He replied and I hung up. Nakita kong nag-usap sila sandali at ngayon papalapit na sina Ten at Lucas.

"Omg, I can't! Ayoko pa mamatay!" Pag-iinarte si Xia habang si Ten naman todo tukso pa ang ginagawa.

"I got you, babe!" Panunukso ni Lucas kay Krisha at nakipag-apir kay Ten.

Habang nagtatalo yung apat, I grabbed Maureen's wrist na kasalukuyang nasa sariling mundo niya.

I responded, "Come with me," and she merely nodded.

"All right!" she exclaimed.

I was the first in and was astounded to see Maureen virtually sit on my engine with her legs apart while wearing a damn skirt.

"Maureen, don't sit like that! You're wearing a skirt for God's sake!" I said in disbelief.

I am not being dramatic; I just think it's appropriate, and the boys' looks repulsed me. Maureen is the sweetest and most innocent girl I've ever met. She reminds me like a sister whom I want to protect for the rest of my life.

"Do you notice how the other two are sitting?" Sabi ko at tinuro ang dalawa.

"All right, don't be furious," she said as she sat down.

I said, "Hold on tight," and drove away. Sinalubong kami nina Kale sa intersection. I know they're lying about billiards thing. Malalaki naman sila, kaya na nila yan.

Hindi pa nakakalayo ay puro tili at "slow down" na ang naririnig ko. Konti na lang talaga mapupunit na ang jacket ko kakakapit ni Maureen. This is the most nerve-wracking drive I've ever experienced.

"I'm about to cry." Maureen said after jumping off my vehicle.

Stress kong tinanggal ang helmet ko at ginulo ang buhok. "f**k, hindi na kita ulit iaangkas. You almost sheer my jacket into pieces." Reklamo ko na ikinatawa ng dalawang kakadating lang.

"Dude, you look like a hot mess!" Ten exclaimed as he removed his helmet and laughed his head off.

I counted my patience, "one... two—"

"s**t! Gotta go, Boss!" he exclaimed as he drove away quickly. Sumunod din yung isang asungot.

"Let's go!" Sabay sigaw ng tatlo and pulled me inside the cafe.

"Waaah! Nothing new," Xia said, " Ang ganda pa rin dito." With xia's arm linked to mine, we're walking upstairs.

"I'm going to gorge myself!"

"I'm with you!"

"Me too!"

"Shouting is not necessary." because they are so loud, I said.

Umupo kami sa favorite spot namin wherein kitang-kita ang view ng dagat sa glass wall. The bistro is close to the water. The name "seaside cafe" makes sense.

"Long time no see, lovely ladies," Bati ni Rio, the cafe's proprietor. I know him because she was my mother's former secretary.

The girls greeted back and I just nodded. Umupo siya sa isang empty seat sa table namin and I got bored of how long they were talking.

"You're supposed to be taking our orders, not chitchatting with us?" I exclaimed. Nagugutom na ako. Napatigil siya sa kakadaldal at tumayo

"Oh yeah, I forgot," he responded, scratching his head.

I rolled my eyes and focused my attention on the lovely scenery outside.

Later on, our orders came and girls flooded me lots of questions. Can't deny, I missed them so much. We had fun eating at ngayon naglalakad na sa seashore. We sat on the sand watching the sunset and Xia leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Alam mo ba, Aqua. Everything became a mess tha day you left. Binenta ng parents mo ang school niyo at wala kaming nagawa even our parents." Xia speaking.

"Yeah, at alam mo ba na halos araw-araw nasasangkot sa away yung grupo mo? One time nga nabalitaan naming sila mismo nag away-away." Mau added.

"Nahirapan talaga kami nung time na yun. Pinakakawawa si Kale, nagulat kami nun pumasok ng lasing tapos sumisigaw, hinahanap ka. May gusto ata sayo yun 'te." Sabi naman ni Krisha.

I stayed quiet while they're telling me their hardships the day I left. Wow, ang laki pala ng responsibilidad ko?!

"Kaya nga sobrang saya namin nang nabalitaan naming babalik ka na."

"Yeah, ang sasama talaga ng budhi ng mga Callisto students."

"Huh? Masasama ba tayo?" Mau asked. Napabuntong hininga na lang kaming tatlo.

"I called our driver, ipapahatid ko na lang kayo sa kanya." I said habang palabas na kami ng cafe.

"Thank you so much for the treat!" Maureen said and hugged me.

"Nabusog ako, sobra." Xia said rubbing her tummy.

"Anytime, hindi naman obvious na busog kayo. May mga bitbit pa nga."

They chuckled as I said this.

"Thank you, BFF." Krisha replied.

I said farewell as they got in the van at sumakay na din sa motor ko. Before going home, I stopped over a convenience store to buy some menthol. Sinusundan talaga ako ng kamalasan sa buhay.

"Saan punta mo?" The idiot asked while paying in the counter. I ignored him and went out the convenience store first. Ang kamalasan dapat hindi pinapansin.

Sumandal ako sa motor while smoking nang lumabas si Callisto.

"Are you waiting for me?" He confidently asked na parang bangag. I gave him the middle finger. Sumandal siya sa motor niya at nagsindi. Akmang sasalita pa sana siya kaya inunahan ko na.

"Just shut up," I told him.

"I didn't talk?! Ang init talaga ng dugo mo sa akin." Reklamo niya.

"Ang pangit mo eh."

"Ano?!"

"Ang pangit mo." pag-uulit ko.

Sasagot pa sana siya kaso naagaw ng pamilyar na mga motor ang atensiyon ko. If my memory serves me correctly, sina Kale yun ah? They were being pursued by a group of motorcycles carrying a skull-shaped flag? What the f**k is going on?!

"Saan ka pupunta?" Callisto inquired as I jumped into my motor and revved it up. Hindi ko na siya sinagot at mabilis na hinabol sina Kale. Tangina! g**o na naman. I speeded up hanggang malampasan yung mga asungot na humahabol kina Kale.

"Aqua?!" Pasigaw na tanong ni Kale dahil hindi na kami magkarinigan dahil sa ingay.

"We'll talk after this, dumb asses!" I shouted back.

"Why are you with him?!"

"With who?! Damn it, bilisan niyo!" I shouted para marinig ng ibang nasa likod namin. Kale, Hendery and I were leading the way.

"Fxxk! We have nowhere to flee; we're heading to a forest, Boss!" exclaimed Hendery, concerned.

"f**k you, morons! Just turn around!" I answered.

"What?!"

"Turn around, stupid!" Sigaw ko ulit. When Hendery informed the others, we all turned around. And now, the other g**g were heading towards us.

"Stop!" I said, raising my palm for them to see.

"What are we going to do?!" Lucas was terrified. Probably not to them, but me. Mamaya kami magtutuos, first and foremost, I must conquer this one.

I took my helmet off as the other team stops in front of us. As far as I know, dalawang g**g lang ang meron sa district na ito. I'm not familiar with them.

"Bro, they have freaking guns." Mark exclaimed.

"Yow, shut the f**k up. Ikaw si Aqua diba?" yelled the obnoxious leader. Siya ata ang leader kasi siya yung nasa una? I just stared at them and watched every move they're making.

I just stood there staring at them, watching their every moving.

"Walang bababa." Kale demanded.

"Motherfxxkers, you all looked tense up." They all chuckled.

"Hell yeah," I responded, laughing, "why don't we warm up first?"

As both sides remained silent and stared at each other, anxiety rose.

"Their guns are on their legs on the right, you should get that first because that's their only advantage. Jae, Ten, Lucas, and Hendery, you three should get out there first, and then Win, Ino, and Mark will attack on the back row while me and Kale should keep the rest busy," I said quietly enough for my men to hear.

"How about me?" someone asked from behind me. Callisto? What the?!

"Why are you even here?" Kale asked while the others are confused.

"Don't lose your focus, wait for my command." I said.

"All four of you, go." Utos ko at bumaba na ang apat. I added, "Focus on the guns and be careful."

Nagsimula nang mag-hand to hand battle ang apat sa harap. Pito ang kalaban nila pero kitang-kita na kaya nila. I kept my gaze fixed on their commander. na mukhang aso ngiting-ngiti.

"Second three, sa kilid kayo dumaan," I said, "we'll keep them busy."

"So, what got your ugly a*s mad?" I sarcastically inquired.

"Isa sa mga duwag mong kasama ang nakihati sa babae ko. Ang lakas naman ng amats ng tutoy na yan, what do you think?" Sabi ng mukhang tutoy.

The three made it to the other side. As they should be.

"No doubt," I sneered, "but sino ba naman ang tatagal sa itsurang yan?"

"Alam mo sayang ka, ang ganda mo kaso ang talas ng dila mo. Tangina, same vibes pala tay—." Hindi natapos ang pagsasalita ng mokong nang may tumatak na mini knife sa braso niya. He was shocked and anger can be seen at her face.

What the hell?! Wala yun sa plano! Tinignan ko ang pinanggalingan ng mini knife at nakitang galing kay Kale yun. And that foul move ruined my plan. Buti na lang at mabilis kumilos ang mga inutusan ko at nagawa nila ang mga inutos ko.

Akmang bubunot ng b***l ang pangit na nasa harap kaya umilag ako expecting the bullet coming pero nabitawan niya ang b***l nang biglang may tumarak na isa pang mini knife sa kabilang braso niya.

In a blink of an eye, binangga ko ang motor ng leader niya and I pressed my elbow on the back of his neck. He passed out, which he deserved.

"Okay, you have ten seconds para ligpitin ang kalat kung ayaw niyong kami mismo maglinis." Utos ko sa kalaban. I was referring sa mga nakahandusay as kalat. No one ever dared na banggain kami noon. Akala ba nila dahil tahimik kami for the past years. We are easy to beat? Are they joking around?

Nanginginig na kinuha nila ang kanilang mga kasamang nasa daan at humarorot paalis.

I turned around to face the crew. Puro nag-iiwas ng tingin ang mga loko. So, Is this what they're up to while I'm away?

"Billiards, huh?" I said.

"And you!" Sabi ko sabay turo kay Callisto. "Anong ginagawa mo dito?!"

"Ito na nga, aalis na." He said at padabog na nag-drive palayo.

"Basement," I murmured as I adjusted my helmet and drove off.
