In all major religions of the world today, you will frequently see placed at the altar a candelabra holding seven candles, not the Jewish candelabra, which have nine candles. This is symbolic of the seven precepts of spiritualism. Commonly referred to as the Candles of Truth. Each candle is representative of one of the seven precepts. Anyone of the candles alone provides only a dim light, but the seven together furnish the necessary radiance for the vision and attainment of the ultimate in spiritual progression. When fully lit, the candles illuminate with a mellow glow of peaceful understanding.
