Is it enough for us to believe in God and to try to lead a moral life? No, not really.
All of us are commissioned by Christ to go out and tell others of God"s mercy and love and to try to bring them into God"s family. This is not only a duty commanded by Christ but a privilege which we should rejoice to do in thanksgiving and love. Since we ourselves have received God"s revelation and the Christian faith through others, we ought to show our thanks by being the means by which others may come to know God and to believe in him. If we love our neighbors as Christ commanded us, we cannot help but share this most precious gift with them.
What do we call this sharing, and how is it done?
It is called evangelism, spreading the good news, and it is done by word and by the witness of our lives. W
