I love the hills the trees and the greens
I know that it is probably way beyond my means

But I want to adopt West Virginia - the entire State.
Others adopt a child or a hound, but I"m West Virginia bound.
I"ll take all the people, the good and the bad.
For I have found something special that I"ve never had.
A West Virginia state of mind that makes me glad.
A place to meditate and never be sad.
A place to be proud of, a delight to visit.
A place to be part of, that"s truly exquisite.
A sense of belonging and love.
My adopted State and I fit like a glove.
It"s a special rapport, a genuine admiration
A real belonging, a sense of participation.
The trees, the ground, the rivers
