"Quit fidgeting," Luke said as he reached over to squeeze Claire's hand. "We will get there and everything will go fine."
With the wedding behind them, Claire and Luke were on their way to see Nancy. Claire kept kicking herself that she put it off this long.
"Was it a good decision not to bring Elizabeth?" Claire blurted out.
"Yes. We've been over this. It's best to check it out first and then ring Elizabeth to see her mom later," Luke said. "Don't go second guessing yourself now." Claire took a deep breath and started to open her mouth, only to have Luke cut her off. "Elizabeth is fine with Kathryn."
Claire took another deep breath, sighed, and sat back looking out her side window.
