Adam van pulled out of the driveway and started heading down the street, towards Alisa’s...probably. As soon as it was out of sight, I headed towards Scarlett’s front door. It was still early; she was probably still sleeping, but I didn’t care. I hadn’t even seen her get home last night, and she had been avoiding my calls.
I approached the front door. Adam had stupidly left the door unlocked, not an uncommon mishap, I might add. So I strolled right in, taking the steps two at a time as I made my way up to her bedroom. I didn’t bother knocking as I pushed open her bedroom door.
