Serine's POV
Serine gasped as Rem spun around, grabbing her shoulders, and forced her down against the wall. She knelt behind a large stuffed boar, barely able to see what was happening.
"Stay here," Rem insisted. They glanced up as the Hunters began screaming and fire raged into the room. "Don't move."
Rem rolled away and Serine reached out a hand, trying to catch their sleeve, but missed. She leaned against the wall, looking through the boar's legs as her breath began to hitch in her chest. She watched as Rem began circling the room, low to the ground and partially hidden by the various tables and art pieces.
