My third week in AP Calc is much better than the previous two. Celeste no longer texts constantly, and we’re able to have a few more good conversations. I don’t know if I can classify her as a friend yet, but we’re good acquaintances at least.
The funny thing is that I want to skip right past the friend stage and become something more.
Trevor never said anything about a boyfriend, and Celeste has never mentioned one. When she showed me pictures of her city league team on her phone, I didn’t see any couple pictures.
But even if there’s no boyfriend in the picture, I just can’t bring myself to ask her out on a date.
