A Mother and Daughter's journey, that was worth every second!!!

♧ Stephen ♧

It's rather late and me and Melanie is about to go to bed when all of a sudden a police car together with a friends car that we've know for only two or three months now, drove in to the driveway. I'm going outside to see what I can do for them as they approach my frond door and the officer is holding a newborn baby in his hands.

" Good evening gentlemen please come inside with the baby ". I told the men and gently close the door behind them.

" This man was in a pub with his baby and he's telling me that the mother is working nightshift, and he told me that we can leave the baby with you for safekeeping in the meantime. Will this arrangement be fine with you or do I need to take the baby elsewhere ". The officer ask me and Melanie

The man with the officer is looking at me and Melanie like he asks us to please agree with this arrangement.

" There will be no need officer my husband and I will be more than happy to take care of the baby. " I told the officer as I took the baby from him.

" Then it's settled, let's go and don't let me ever see you with this child close to any drinking place". The officer told the man and the make their way to the door Stephen walked them out and returned rather quickly as he was just as excited as I am .

And there she was the most beautiful little princess I've ever seen. We loved her instantly she was only three days old and so very tiny.

The officer brought the little girl to us without a bottle , clothes or nappies.

"Stephen, we have to get her nappies a bottle and milk she will get wet and hungry soon".I said to Stephen but I don't want to take her outside now it's already late and we don't want her to get sick. But I think Stephen is thinking the same thing he said.

" My love I will go out and get everything we need but are you sure you will be okay with her while I'm gone?"

" Well darling I'm sure I'll be okay but please don't take to long." I respond.

It was a little scary being alone with a newborn for the the firstime ever but I'm also very excited being with her I just want to hold her and never let her go.
