A DAY TO MY WEDDING

1323 Words
Blanca's POV I stared at myself in the full length mirror and my mouth dropped open in awe, I looked like an angelic bride, the gown was pure white, it was off hand but has a lace sleeves that joined from the under arm, it showed out all my curves and then from the knee down, it looked like a freshly bloomed flower and tailed behind me. I never expected to wear such a gown in my wedding. I turned to walk out of the room immediately. I can't wait to see Kale's expression. The woman grabbed my hand just as I reached the door "what are you doing?" She asked. I stared at her as if I had gone nuts and the woman chuckled "haven't you heard of the saying that a groom is not to see the wedding gown until the day itself? If you show him everything now, how can he be surprised on that day?" I bit my lip, she is right but that only happens if the groom loves the bride, the man out there wouldn't even care if he see it now or on the day, I wanted to say but decided against it, there is no need putting confusion into the woman's mind course even I have not understand what is going on. I took off the gown and put on my original set of clothes. I walked out of the room to see surprise in his eyes when he saw me but he immediately concealed it, was he expecting to see me in the gown? I thought but before I could even say a thing, he stood up and walked out of the room. I followed him to the limousine and got in after him. The ride back was as silent as when they were coming. I looked out the window and when I noticed the road was not the way to Sylvester's villa, I turned to give him a questioning gaze which he didn't notice or pretended not to notice. I wanted to ask but told myself to forget it, where he is taking me it's not like he was going to kill me I thought. Minutes later, the limousine pulled over and I looked out the window to see my house, I was shocked. He dropped me off? But what about my car? I wanted to ask when I noticed my car pulling over in the driveway. I looked at Kale but he said nothing, believing I knew what to do. I sighed and nodded "thank you" . I muttered when the chauffeur opened the door for me. I got out and the driver of my car got out too and walked up to me, he handed me the key and got in the limousine with the other chauffeur, I looked at the man in the backseat through the window but can't make out his expression since the glass was tinted that one outside can't see inside. I raised my hand to wave him goodbye but the limousine already started driving off before I could finish the action. She stood there watching the leaving car and the tiny voice came again, can you live like this Blanca? It's not yet too late to turn back, you know but I shook my head and waved the voice away, it's just a matter of time and I would crack him, I thought and walked into my apartment. I stared at myself in the mirror, I can't believe that in less than one hour I will be saying 'I do' to my teenage sweetheart, even if he doesn't know I loves him, even if I knows he is gay, I still couldn't stop herself from wanting to rush down that isle and shout it to the world, that she do. I sighed as I remembered how he has never called me on the phone to ask how I was doing. He had never visited me, that day of testing the gown was the last day I had seen him. Maybe things will change after tonight. Maybe he is finally going to start noticing me after their vows. He shouldn't forget that I am taking a big risk marrying him. Which woman will marry a man who is gay? He should be grateful to her, at least it's because of me that his secret will stay hidden. Can that be the fact he accepted to marry me, because he knows I am aware of his preference for men and had wanted me to keep the secret for him? But if so, then how did he know she would agree? my train of thoughts was ruined when Seren and Maple walked into the room. There was pure love and adoration in both their eyes, one was crystal blue and the other was gray, I found myself wishing she could see an atom of it in my husband's burning self. Just one little emotion. Come to think of it, there is absolutely nothing I know about him. I know he is a self made billionaire, in as much of his father's wealth, he still went out there and made himself somebody, a lot of malls and clubs and companies are under his name but he was always invisible to the public eye, hardly attending interviews. To invite him to a party wasn't easy too and even after trying and you succeeded, you still have to worry about him showing up which he often don't and that is the reason I doesn't see much of him, he is kind of a ghost billionaire, although she knows he owns that much but she can't point out which is his property.? "You are beautiful" Kale's mother complimented as my mother smiled proudly and walked up to me. I helped me put on my veil while Kale's mother handed me a little box. I opened it to see a diamond necklace, about millions of dollars worth. I swallowed and looked at me "let me help you" she offered and took the box from me before helping me to put it on. I turned and stared at myself in the mirror, my neck had suddenly transformed into that of a duchess or even a queen, it looked exquisite "thank you" I murmured and she smiled. "Your car is here already; are you ready?" My mother asked and I nodded. The two women helped me out to the waiting car, I got in and waved them goodbye before they got into another car. The car started moving, and I found myself lost in thought again. Last month, I was still telling my mother that I will marry when the time is right and now here I am, getting married and not just to any man but to Kale Sylvester. I smiled and took a deep breath, now this is a giant step I am taking into a new phase of my life which will either ruin her or make her the happiest woman alive. I decided to vote on the happiest but then the voice asked me again, 'are you sure?' I thought about how he always acted nonchalant whenever I was around. We were to be married and we have met each other only twice, first was when we were introduced to each other, second was when he escorted her to the mall to try out her gown and the third day will be today. His mother had called us again when I wanted to ask what I want in their house. We won't be going on honeymoon because Kale said he had a contract he is working on and can't afford to be away, although he did promise to take me on a honeymoon once he was through with the business deal. And yes, I didn't hear it from him personally, his mother had been the one to convey the message to me.
