Time passed by unnoticed. After meeting Cole earlier today, I decided to stay at the library. I always love the scent of books. It's my therapy and the truth is I'm trying hard not to think about what Cole said earlier. But one thing's for sure, there's a secret I need to know. I am a fan of fantasies. I've always dreamed of being that girl who would fight against evil with the power that I possess. I've always loved fire and ice too. I love the wind and all the elements. If one day I'll be given a chance to take one of these, I don't even know if I can choose. I sat in the wooden rocking chair while staring blankly at the pages. I smiled thinking about how wonderful it could be to have such powers. For a moment I was happy, genuinely happy. If only my grandma had been here to tell me stories that are outside of this world. Suddenly, it all went black. I force my eyes to see the darkness. Hugging the book, I stood while I slowly opened all my senses to listen. Every corner of the room is memorized and I could feel another presence inside this room. My heart now beats wildly, hardly pounding in my chest and all I can hear is my heartbeat. I searched for the candle in my desk and tried my best to light it with a match. It's sudden, but I definitely know my hand just brushed against a cold object. Sweat started to run down my spine and my hair started standing like those in movies where you feel a ghost. I pinch myself to see if everything is true, if I'm not dreaming. And yes! I'm not. I raised the candle in my hand, desperate to see what that cold object could be. There's nothing on the desk. I'm afraid to look behind me. Slowly, I lifted my eyes to look at the wall and there I saw it. "Hello, Ice" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" I dropped the candle and sprinted to get out of the room as fast as I could. Tears started to well up in my eyes. Where's my guardian? I bump into things along the way until I reach the staircase. There's no light, I can't see the steps. I might fall. But with courage I skipped steps 'til I reached the living room. I can't see anything. It's too dark. Too dark. I stay vigilant, I can't go down without a fight. I have no idea what's happening but I have to fight. Oh please, where is he? I stood there, I figured out I was standing near the sofa slowly ducking to hide from whoever he was. Just then I hear footsteps and I feel the air around me turn cold like I am put inside a freezer. "Please, don't hurt me." I whispered amidst my sobs. No one answered, but when I turned around, I saw him. Those eyes pierced through me like a dagger penetrating my flesh. I can't move and now I'm freezing. "I-I-I ca-a-ant breath" But he ruthlessly stared at me begging for my life. I see fog , clouding my vision and here we are surrounded by fog . It's slowly getting dark and I hate to admit it, but my soul can't rest if his face is the last thing that I'd see. I'm hoping he'll come. Please hear my prayers. I heard a loud noise and the door swung open. Footsteps approaching and voices fading. I tried hard to cling onto consciousness but I found myself taken by darkness. Everything spins around and it's all black. No, I can't die yet. I just can't.
