Eliza was not comfortable with the prince's daily visits. She knew she was just a maid, and he was the future king. She didn't want to encourage him, but she didn't know how to stop it without hurting his feelings.

The other maids in the kitchen have noticed the prince's attention towards Eliza.They grew jealous and began to whisper among themselves.They informed Lady Beatrice who decided to give Eliza extra work.It felt bad for her friends to snap at her.Eliza tried to ignore them at first but it was hard.

One day, Prince Alexander came to the kitchen before dawn as usual.She took a deep breath and told him, "Your Highness, I appreciate your kindness, but I must be honest with you. I'm just a maid, and I cannot continue to receive your attention. It's not right, and it's causing problems in the palace already."

The Prince looked surprised and a little hurt, but Eliza knew she had to be firm. She couldn't keep encouraging him, no matter how much she enjoyed his company.

Eliza took a deep breath and told the prince, "Your Highness, I can no longer receive your attention. It's causing problems in the palace.

The Prince's face fell, and he looked at her with sad eyes. "Eliza, I can't bear the thought of not seeing you every day. You bring light to my life, and I can't imagine a life without you."He took a step closer, his eyes burning with passion.Eliza tried to push him away, but the Prince held her tight. He kissed her deeply, his lips burning with desire. Eliza went weak with desire.She felt her resolve melting away.

As they broke apart, gasping for air, Eliza whispered, "Your Highness, what are we going to do".From that moment on, Prince Alexander and Eliza could only steal glances at each other.Sometimes they exchange secret messages through their ally, Princess Priscilla.They also meet in hidden corners of the palace.

The King being a shrewd man decided there must be a reason for his ever dutiful son to reject all the ladies invited to the royal banquet.He invited his trusted counselor to keep an eye on the young prince.It was sir Lucas who found out that Alexander was always missing from the royal court because he was constantly going to the kitchen to speak with Eliza.

The King was livid most especially because it was the same girl he had his mind own.Quickly he sent for the Queen and instructed her to remove Eliza.from the kitchen.

He also summoned Alexander to the royal court where the entire members of the royal council spoke vehemently against his choice.Of all the royal ladies,why choose a maid?

Immediately Prince Alexander left the court room.He went in search of Princess Priscilla with a note to give to Eliza.

And so that night they meet in the garden under their oak tree.The Prince narrated all what transpired in the court room of the noble men.

Fear gripped Eliza.Alexander noticed and he gently held her hands.Prince Alexander leaned in, his lips brushing against Eliza’s ear. “Do you believe in magic, Eliza?”

She blinked, her heart racing. “I suppose I don't know.”

“Then let me show you,” he whispered, his breath warm against her skin. His lips traced a delicate path from her earlobe to her jawline, leaving a trail of fire. Eliza’s knees trembled, and she clung to him.

And there, beneath the moon’s gaze, Prince Alexander kissed Eliza,a kiss that held longing, promises of forever, and the magic of destiny. Their lips met, and time ceased to exist. It was a kiss that set their souls ablaze.Breathless and wide eyed, Eliza asked, “Is our love real?”.Prince Alexander replied, his eyes filled with tenderness. “As real as the beating of our hearts.”

Eliza's heart raced as the Prince trailed her face with his hands again.He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers.Alexander deepened the kiss, his lips moving with a tender intensity. Eliza felt like she was drowning in his love, her soul awakening to a passion she never knew existed.

As they broke apart, gasping for air, Eliza knew she was forever lost. "I love you, Your Highness," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Alexander smiled with happiness,"I love you Eliza,today, tomorrow and always".
