“Mrs. Morgan, we meet again. Ready to take that boot off?” the doctor asked.
“Beyond ready!” Tabitha said excitedly.
“Alright. Let’s get an x-ray and see what’s going on with it. Are you still having tenderness anywhere else?”
“No. Everything else feels ok. I get headaches now and then but it’s not too bad.”
“Do to the nature of your head injury, you may get those from time to time. I would suggest cutting your hair shorter so that the headaches don’t happen as often.”
“I’ll take that under advisement.”
“Alright. You know the drill. Put the gown on and the nurse will come to get you.”
Jesse came over to help her get undressed but she stopped him. She had been trying to do things on her own and she had been refusing to let him help her. Eventually, he had to go back to work and she
