Vic Vic wasn’t sure what to expect from the upcoming meeting, though he wasn’t surprised when the red-headed shifter from the Council opened the door of the flat. “Hi,” she said brightly, opening the door fully and waving them through. Everything about the home they entered was contrary to Vic’s. The décor was modern, with sharp whites and bold colours. Nothing like his rustic cabin. He glanced sideways at Nita, who moved closer to him, as if she too was feeling slightly overwhelmed by the contrast in surroundings.
