Anastasia’s POV
The cafeteria remained completely silent after my words. My breathing came out unevenly as tears streamed down my face, my hand still shaking from where I had slapped Jed.
Dirt stained part of his shirt and jaw from the plate I had smashed into his face.
Nobody spoke and for one horrible second, I thought maybe he would finally admit the truth.
That maybe he would stop pretending and admit it
Instead Jed slowly wiped dirt from his cheek before laughing mockingly, the sound made my stomach drop instantly… It was just too cold.
