Anastasia’s POV The cafeteria remained completely silent after my words. My breathing came out unevenly as tears streamed down my face, my hand still shaking from where I had slapped Jed. Dirt stained part of his shirt and jaw from the plate I had smashed into his face. Nobody spoke and for one horrible second, I thought maybe he would finally admit the truth.
