Twisted Fate of the Knight

Visit

He asked me why did I bite his hands and I answered him that I was annoyed with him from yesterday's event. He just laughed that I thought he would scold me but he didn't. I asked him why does he feels awkward with his brother even if his brother makes the way to have a better relationship but then what I get is just a bitter smile on his face. I did not force to ask him any more questions because I knew there was a reason why.

"Your Highness, I think I should go now. Thank you for having me in your residence and always be careful until we meet." I said before I came out of his window and because I did not wait for him to answer he did not immediately answer me because of my sudden departure.

"You are really strange. Miss Hare, I am looking forward to meeting you in your human form." he smiled while looking at the rabbit who runs from his window. 

Due to today's incident, I was able to return to our room earlier and because it was too early, she was still asleep. Since I do not know when will I go back to myself within the day I have to hide here first even if I get bored waiting but I need to talk to Lady Miary about the hunting 3 days from now on.

I wake Sofie by jumping on her so she woke up and I was thrown away on the wall because of shock.

She says sorry and I told her that it's okay.

"I thought you will come back here after dinner?" she asked as she was fixing her bed while I am laying down on my bed.

"Well, something happens to the 2nd Prince in his own residence and I need to talk to Lady Miary."

"What happened?! Did you get hurt?!" she said as she examines me and I said that I am unharmed.

After she was done, I told her to brought me along to her Grace room. So, we went to Lady Miary's room and we saw sir Dravis outside the room. Sofie greeted Dravis and the knight just nodded to Sofie as he looks at me. I already know that look, 'I wonder why the pet of the 2nd Prince that he taking care of it is here' but he just let it go and didn't ask.

When we entered, Lady Miary was still asleep so I jumped on her bed and called her but she still did not wake up so I jumped on her stomach. I regret to do that again because I flew again and it is stronger now. She suddenly punches me when she woke up. This is one of the reason why does she still need a knight if she was this strong enough for me to get hurt even if I am using mana. If your asking why do I am able to use magic is that thanks to the 2nd Prince of getting rid of the spell cast on me so I can use it but not that strong.

"What was that thing?!" she said as she woke up and looking at Sofie who is busy preparing her dress.

"I am not a thing, my Lady," I said as I jump back to her bed and she was surprised when she saw me. She immediately hugged me and it looks like she doesn't have to let go of me.

"Stop it, Lady Miary. Are you trying to kill me?! Spare me, I have important things to do." I said with difficulty because of the tightness of her embrace with me.

"My hunch is right. That you are familiar to me before I get a hold of you yesterday." She said before she let me go.

"Yeah, yeah. Well, Lady Miary, I want to ask you a question, can I?" I said to her and she nodded at me while looking at me and caressing me.

"Sure, what it is?" she said so I asked her she knows what kind of person is the 2nd Prince.

"Well, I do not really know since he barely shows up in banquets and events unless it is important. However, I think he is kind of sweet little brother to me when he was younger but then 6 years ago he suddenly did not come to see me every time I am here in the palace," she said that's why I thought about Hanz's personality since in the book they did not mention him too much.

"Why did you ask?" she asks me and I said that I was just curious about him.

"I wondered why did you end up to Hanz? If I remembered Sofie told me that you were investigating something."

"Oh, that. Yes, not only you are being watched here but also Hanz. He was nearly attacked earlier." I said.

"What did you say?!" She said and moves closer to me in her face so I pushed her away but her face was not too far away from mine because of the shortness of my hands and feet.

"I mean, he was surrounded this morning. Fortunately, I felt someone around his window. However, don't let anyone knows about this Lady Miary since we managed to catch the intruders and the Crown Prince was interrogating them by now, I think." I said so she slowly lowered me to the bed.

"Avy, don't scare me with that. Sofie let me get dressed. We will visit Hanz today since the Crown Princess is going to attend a tea party." She said while standing and ready to change so I turned around and went to the window.

Sofie dressed her and prepared her breakfast since it was already delivered to her room earlier when she had her hair fixed. She eats her breakfast fast and she brought me with her when we go out of her room. Dravis greets her and she nodded and walked over to Hanz's room. Sofie and Dravis followed us.

I told her that she doesn't need to visit him since he was okay but she insists on it. I hope we will not bump into her Highness because I don't want to have those feelings. I am not ready to face her yet because I am at a disadvantage and I may be doomed. But, the unlucky day is with me since I am seeing the Crown Princess not far from us. How I wish that she will not look here because she was just staring straight ahead.

However, she suddenly turns her head and looks at us. It's a good thing she didn't come back because she was just thereafter she looked at us. I was able to breathe easy because that's where I thought she would come back.

Lady Miary asks me why I am not calm and I ask why she said that. And she answered me that I was moving for a while when she was holding so she asked if there was a problem or not when we and Crown Princess saw each other. I just said that it's nothing to worry then I said to her 'you will still visit Prince Hanz' when I change the topic so she did not asks me but later she will be sure, she will ask me.

I ended up in the hands of Sir Dravis since I told her that a while ago to be left behind when we were approaching Prince Hanz's residence that I would leave or just go back to Sofie and I's room. However, she insists that I should wait with Dravis outside the room. She asks why I do not want to show myself with Hanz and I answered her that I don't want him to know that I was with her since he is smart enough to figure out who I am. Thankfully she didn't ask even more so she just let me go for now.

Lady Miary and Sofie get inside after they knock on the door. Her Grace hugs Prince Hanz so he was surprised but then he hugs her back.

"Are you okay?" she asks him as she releases him from the hug.

"Yes, I am okay. Thank you Lady Miary." He said and smiled at her. He remembered how she cared for him as her little brother and she didn't change.

"Are you sure? You are unharmed anywhere?!" she repeatedly asks him with her worriedly face.

"Yes, I am really okay. Nothing to worry about. You never change Lady Miary." He said as he removes her hands from his face.

"Of course. By the way, did your brother find anything?"

"As of now, none since the intruders bit their tongues to avoid talking. Fortunately, we manage to save one so maybe tomorrow we can get information."

"That's good to hear." 

"Lady Miary I'm sorry if we can't chat longer since I am tired and sleepy because I woke up too early. We can chat later again." He said while acting cute.

"Oh, sure. Have a good rest Prince Hanz and take care of yourself. I should listen to Av-- that I should not visit you." she said

"Who said?"

" Nothing. By the way, you should come to visit me otherwise I will resent you."

"Fine."

When Lady Miary and Sofie get inside, I tried to escape from Dravis many times by jumping suddenly and pretending to sleep then jump but then he always catches me up. This is my 10th attempt biting his hands and runs away but he didn't seem to be hurt by my bite and his hand was already swollen but he was still able to chase me.

I was amazed that he managed to catch me with those attempts and I wonder why he decided to chase me. And because I was tired of running away I suddenly fell asleep.

Sir Dravis carries the rabbit with care as if like a fragile object when her Grace let him take care of the rabbit. He gently holds it but then suddenly wants to escape so he doesn't let it escape because he might be told to just watch the rabbit and he can not do to do so he did not let him escape. Especially when he was suddenly bitten by it and almost got away even though he was pissed off but he can't.

After a while, he was waiting for another attempt but none. He notices that it was asleep and all of his annoyance for the rabbit was gone not because it is cute but he feels familiar but not sure if that is the reason. He smiled as he was watching it sleeping peacefully in his arms.

I woke up when someone holds me and it was Lady Miary as she was thanking Dravis for carrying me for the entire time. I didn't realize awhile ago that I fell asleep because I was tired of running away. Because of embarrassment, I jump to get away from them especially Dravis how can I face him now, even though he doesn't know me. I run away fast and I ended up in the garden especially where the well is. I just noticed why I always get stuck here in the well area. I backed away because suddenly something moved in the bushes so I slowly looked and someone was lying.

I can't see his face since it was covered half not until he moves and faces me. It was Kerz, he was sleeping peacefully. 

"There you are. Lady Miary was worried about you." He said so I turned around and it was Dravis. He approached and saw Kerz sleeping.

"Hey, Kerz! Why are you here?! Are you slacking off again and sleeping here?!" He shouts at him as he kicks him in the feet. I didn't know he can do this. Kerz slowly opens his eyes as he looks at Dravis. 

"Yo! why are you h-- rabbit?" he said as he yawned in front of us.

"Are you slacking off again?" 

"Nope. I just sleep for a while since I didn't get enough sleep for the past days." He answered and I just noticed that you can see his eyebags and they are still a bit dark, but why is that? He looks so good even though he doesn't have enough sleep while I am not, when I didn't have enough sleep I look like a zombie. I envy them since they are still good-looking and I think all of them like the Crown Prince, lady Miary, Prince Hanz and I am sure even Dravis is. 

"Yeah, you look like a zombie dude. What happened to you?" he tells Kerz that he looks like a zombie even though he doesn't look like a zombie so he is a handsome zombie but I am an ugly zombie-like.

"Thanks to your workloads dude. I look like this." He said as he brushes off the leaves from his head and clothes as he stands.
