Meeting

"Thank you for the food," I said before I ate and I looked at Ronan and he was already eating so I was wondering that he is eating well today.

"Eat this too," I said as I put the desert on his empty plate since I notice that he didn't eat his dessert for lunch. His maids and the butler was surprised since the butler accidentally let go of the utensils in his hand as they look at me surprisingly.

"You didn't like sweets?" I ask as I look at him, and he looks at me annoyed as he looks at the dessert on his plate.

" Don't push your luck, bum," He said as he looks at me frowning so I just smiled at him.

"Do you really wan--"

"Just eat it up, Your Highness to lighten your mood with sweetness," I said after I shove a spoonful desert into his mouth as he glared at me as if he was going to kill me and the people around us just took a deep breath as they shiver.

"Do you think I will not punish you for this?" He said after he swallowed the food as he glared at me. I think he really doesn't want sweets since he was drinking plenty of water.

"Don't be so angry, Sir Ronan. Sweets can make your work better, okay? so eat up more," I said as I preparing to run for my life.

"Is that so?" He said calmly as I nod so maybe he understands me a bit.

"Do you think I would let this slide even if you say said that?" He said as he breaks the water goblet in his hands.

"Y-yes~~ By the way, Sir Ronan I have to go," I said as I run away out to the dining and out to the house.

"A-Avy?" I looked at the person who called me since I was gasping some air and I bent down so I did not realize that there was someone in front of me.

"Is that really you?~~" She said while controlling herself not to cry when she saw me and I seem to be dumbfounded because I did not expect to see her now, here in Alfinus State.

"Lady Miary," I murmured and I don't know what I'm going to do since it's been almost 3 years that I didn't even write a letter for her about my whereabouts. She hugs me after I say her name as she cries on my shoulder and it was as if I was stoned because I did not know if I would embrace her back or not but my instinct is telling me to hug her back so I hugged her as she cried too hard.

"I'm sorry, Lady Miary, so stop crying or you'll look ugly," I said as I laugh to comfort her and I was preparing for a sudden punch from her but I didn't get but instead she smiles at me as she looks at me.

"I am happy that you are here alive even though you never change to make fun of me," She said as she wipes her tears. 

"Of course, I'm alive so why are you assuming that as if I was dead," I said and laughed a little even though I knew why she thought that.

"Where did your brain go, Avy?! Who would not think that if you didn't even bother to write a letter about you or your whereabouts?!" She shouted at me, and she's back with her usual self again as if we didn't see each other for almost 3 years.

"Of course, my brain was stuck in my head," I answered him as she glared at me then she bursts into laughter so I just laughed too.

"There you are bum...Oh, Good Evening, Lady Collins. I thought you were not coming," Ronan breaks the moment between us as I look at him. He didn't tell me about this, this guy is really a scumbag.

"Of course, I was curious when you invited me here and I didn't think you have a surprise for me," She said so I looked at the two of them.

"Well, I didn't plan for you two to meet so soon but this bum runs away for his punishment and he ended up meeting you, why don't we go inside first," He said as we went in to follow him to the visiting room.

"Lady Miary you look more mature and become more beautiful," I compliment as we seated on the sofa.

"Of course since I am an adult now and you also grew a bit Avy," She said.

"Now, let's start our real conversation," Ronan said as he sat down with a few papers in his hand's so I wonder what they are going to talk about since I just came here and I don't know what's going on.

"Wait, wait. Is it really okay for me to join the conversation? since I can catch up with Lady Miary later," I said as I look at them.

"Yes, so stay here," Lady Miary told me so I look at Ronan, and he just nods.

"Okay, so what it is?" I said to them.

"We are looking for a cure for his Highness's illness," Ronan seriously said.

"What?! His highness's illness?! How?!" I ask since I didn't hear something or read something about his illness when they only said that the Crown Prince is taking a break so he wasn't attending many invitations.

"It's been a year when he caught his illness from the Empress's tea since it was only activated after a year since he drank the tea," Lady Miary said.

"So, you can't blame the Empress since many gatherings that happened in that one year, right?" I ask them since they can't pinpoint it in that year.

"Yes, exactly but for now we are focusing on looking for a cure," He said.

"But, how did you know that it was the Empress doing?" I ask him although I am sure that it was the Empress since she wants Hanz to ascend the throne.

" Investigation, but we don't have enough evidence since she switches up the tea and she makes sure that the Crown Prince have it," He said as he shows me the paper containing the details about the incident including his Highness condition.

"She's careful about it, then I assume that the wedding was postponed since last year?" I said and they didn't seem surprised so I think Ronan was intended to have me here since they didn't announce when is the wedding until now.

"I expected no less from you, you catch up really fast," He said as he smiles at me. I feel something bad about this with his smile.

"Well, he is my knight, after all, Sir Ronan so it's given," She said as she smiles to ears. 

"Is that so?" He said as he looks at me as if he was thinking yesterday of what I look like so I was ashamed as I was hoping that he would not mention Miary.

"So, you intend to look for the cure of his Highness, and including me might be helpful to gather information about his conditions?" I said as I put down the paper.

"Yes, the more handful people are the better since his Highness's condition was exclusively known only in the imperial family member and other officials so it is hard to collect information especially looking into medicine," He said, he was correct but I just came back and I have to work immediately. Prince Renz's position is in danger since he can't do his job properly because of his condition and I don't think Prince Hanz will take the throne but his mother will make him do though. 

"Fine, but I was really wondering since I got here, Sir Alfinus for helping me and now you are trusting me, so why?" I ask him since he doesn't usually help someone without getting merits so I was wondering although I let it slide the paying his clothes portion.

"I know you will gonna ask me that, I help you but I don't really trust you so I let you because I can't keep seeing his highness suffering any longer," He said seriously and I can feel his sincerity since he was looking into my eyes with pain. However, my instinct tells me that there's more based on his eyes but I will not ask him for now.

"I see, fine. I'll help what can I do," I said although I know how to cure his Highness illness since my teacher taught me based on his conditions, however, I have to check it myself just to be sure.

"That's will be helpful, Avy," She said to me as she holds my arms so I remove her hand.

"I'm glad that I can be helpful," I said as I look at her but she looks at me smiling and I know what that smile means so I look at Ronan asking for help.

"Then, let's talk again Sir Ronan. I will be taking my leave," She said as she looking at me as if she was saying 'come with me since we are not finished' look so I swallowed suddenly and looked at Ronan again but he just grins at me. I glared at him because of that but then Lady Miary dragged me.

"Wait, Lady Miary," Ronan said before we could finally get out since she was really dragging me and I can't do anything since I can't argue with her for making her worried.

"What it is?" She said as she looks around and let go of me. Ronan approached us and pulled me next to him.

"I let him go back to you tomorrow since he has some work to finish and to pay his debt, Lady Miary," He said and she looks at me with her scary look and I just smiled at her as I signed the peace sign with my hands.

"Well, I can't do anything for that since it is his business, then I have to go, Sir Ronan and Avy," She said as we set her off. I wave at her but she just glared at me saying 'prepare for the worst tomorrow' then she smiles while I feel shiver because of that.

"Now, it's time to punish you, bum," He said as he grins at me as I regret not going with Lady Miary when I will be punished in the end. I followed him to his office as I am thinking what will be my punishment for feeding him. He immediately sat down at his desk and started signing the documents so I wondered why he had not yet said what my punishment would be but I sit still as I was finishing my tasks so that I can sleep already.

"Sir Ronan, I've finished my task. Is there anything else?" I ask him even though I don't want to as I am scolding myself why did I ask him when I can leave after my task is done.

"None, you can go," He said while still focusing on signing papers so I left him working maybe he forgot what I did to him so I went to the kitchen and I cook something to eat for Ash.

"Ash," I called him as he appears in front of me.

'You seem still to remember me, Master' He said as he eats the food I cooked for him so it was as if the truth had stabbed me that I had forgotten him.

"It's not like that Ash. How could I do that to my partner," I said as I hugged him.

'Lies, master' He said.

"I didn't lie, Ash," I said as I comforting him by hugging him.

'Whatever since you gave me food,' He said as he finishes his food. 

"I'll make you again tomorrow," I said since he seems to like my cooking so as an apology to him I will be cooking food for him. After feeding him, we sleep.

I woke up early to cook for breakfast and I decided to cook for Ronan also before I go back to Collins State. The cook and maids were surprised when I said I will be cooking breakfast and they tried to stop me but I said it is a repayment for Sir Ronan so they didn't have a choice but to let me use the kitchen. I cooked mushroom soup as an appetizer, white pasta, chicken for the main course and they do the desert. I went to feed Ash first before I call Ronan to his office but he is not there so I ask the maid where is his bedroom. I knocked first and spoke but he is not answering so I opened the door to wake him up but I closed the door immediately when I saw him turning around as he is changing. 

"Why didn't he answer when he was awake," I murmured because I was annoyed before I left his room and went to the dining room. 

I waited for him for about 10 minutes, they serve the soup and silently eat as I notice he was frowning after he tasted the soup but then he continues to eat. When the main course was served, he was frowning again so I ask him if there is a problem but he answered me 'nothing'.

"Who cooks this dish?" He asks the butler after eating the fried chicken that I cooked.

"It is Sir Avy, Marquess Alfinus," He answered him as Ronan looks at me.

"Were you also the one who cooks the chicken last 2 years ago in the hunting?" He asks me and I remember the past where our camp became an instant diner and he came with Ian and I doubt that he knows I am the one who cooked the food back then.

"Yes, it is me," I answered him as I continue to eat.
