The Trial of the Magical Tree and The Magical Beast

"Hm. Yes as long as you can reach its standard." He said.

"Then, can you tame it, your Highness?" I ask him and now I looked at him and he looked at me too.

"I'm not sure, but Prince Hanz can, I guess?" He answered me honestly so I look back at the tree.

"Why do you think Prince Hanz, can do but not you?" I told him.

"You will know it when it's his turn." He said so I turned to him and he just smiled at me. I wondered why he said that.

We just silently watch the next one which is Gin and he attacks the tree with his hundred strikes but it didn't budge and the baby wolf chases him away as it uses light magic. So, Gin back off and he said 'Of course, it didn't react with my attack since it is inferior' as Her Grace cheer him up. Now, it's Ian's turn to gain the magical tree's approval to have the Magical Beast, he draws his sword as he positions his self to attack. He gathers his mana and concentrates it on its sword as he swings it at the center of the tree and we are blinded by the light that was formed by his attack but then the baby wolf transforms into its bigger version like when Her Grace attacks a while ago. 

"That was Ian's special attack but didn't budge at all when it can take 50 or more soldiers in one swing," Prince Renz commented while he was really enjoying watching it.

"Woah, that strong. I really need to train," I said since Ian was really stronger than me as Prince Renz said 'Told you, he's really something that he can be next to the level of a royal' while admiring Ian's skill. 

"As expected, it will not choose a low status." He said while returning his sword to its scabbard and turned to return to his seat. Well, the same goes for me since we grow up in the countryside, so I was thinking if should I try it or not, since many of them are being wary of me since I was with the Crown Prince. 

After two people, then it was Marquess Alfinus's turn as he prepares his bow and arrow to aim at the center of the tree that I thought he would also use swords but I didn't expect him to use a bow and arrow. He covers his bow and arrow with his mana and shoots the center and suddenly smoked thickly so we were coughing. We heard him hit the tree twice but suddenly stopped and the smoke gradually disappeared and we saw Ronan's arrow at the mouth of the bigger wolf version and it bites the arrow in half.

"I didn't expect that it will be stopped effortlessly," He said. I don't know if he was shocked or disappointed because the wolf caught his attack since his face was unreadable when he commented as he turns his back and goes back to his place.

"That was pretty strong than the last I saw him used that." He said as he admiring his cousin's attack.

"Does he really use bow and arrow instead of swords?" I curiously ask him.

"Yeah, ever since we were kids. He prefers using bow and arrow than using swords but he can fight with swords." He said as he shouts at Ronan that 'it was not enough' and Ronan looks at him annoyed as he answers him 'I don't need your opinion'. Prince Renz just smiling at Ronan.

"It's Prince Hanz's turn, your Highness!" I said since he was busy annoying Ronan and he looks forward to the magical tree.

"Look carefully, Avy since this will answer your question a while ago." He seriously told me.

"Yes, Your Highness," I said as I look Prince Hanz walks forward to the tr-- baby wolf?! He went to the Magical beast, not to the tree so I looked at Prince Renz who is laughing now because of my reaction.

"Why would he go near the wolf?" I ask him curiously.

"He knows how to tame animals including magical beasts since he loves animals." He said to me and I was stoned because of what he said while remembering when I became a rabbit since he knows that I am a woman but why did he pretend not to know or he doesn't know? In that case, I am not sure if he knows or not but one is certain, he knows it. 

"R-really? Maybe he can tame it." I said.

"Yeah." He said while we were watching Prince Hanz approaching the wolf and he seated to pet the baby wolf. The baby wolf looked at him and stood up then Prince Hanz lifted his hand as if he was asking to have shake hands with the wolf as the wolf lift its paws so we were amazed there. 

"Woah, does Prince Hanz can talk to animals, your Highness?" I asked him.

"I am not really sure but he can tell what they want to say." He said to me.

"Then, he really can tame the bea--"

"Grrr...." the wolf's growl.

"Ugh," we looked at Prince Hanz because he got away from the wolf while holding his right hand. Prince Renz immediately approached Hanz and his attendant.

"Are you okay, Hanz?!" Prince Renz asks Hanz as he helps him stand.

"I am fine," He said as he stands up.

"What happens? Why did it attack you?" He asks Hanz and we looked at him because we also got close to where they were.

"I don't really know but when I hold its paws were okay but then seconds he suddenly goes away. When I slowly approached him he transforms and attacked me." He said to Prince Renz. Prince Renz lets him be treated as he thinking hard. I also wonder why he was suddenly attacked when it lets him approach him since then it attacks with a certain distance from him, it seems annoyed after that.

The trial continues and at last, it's our turn so Prince Renz walks forward as he draws his sword and he forms to ready to attack. He closes his eyes as his mana covered his sword much thicker than her Grace, Ronan, and Ian's mana, and I can tell that it was really different when it comes to the royal family. He directed into the tip of his sword with a small mana shape and open his eyes as he releases it to the tree then it touches the tree and it causes a loud sound so a smokes spread with a force so I covered my eyes because of the wind so strong. 

"As expected from the Crown Prince," they murmured.

"That's for the Crown Prince," they commented.

We are hearing the sound of a sword slashing with something since we can't see because of the thick smoke and for a while the smoke was gone we can see Prince Renz fighting the wolf. He manages to dodge all the attacks of the wolf and shielded his sword as he attacks it. Prince Renz immediately walked away so the wolf did not attack but it was its guard up. 

Prince Renz was panting as he let down his sword as support, and his sword was heavy because the sword was not even forced into the ground but almost half-buried. 

"Are you okay, Your Highness?" I ask him as I approached him and offer him water.

"The wolf is not really a joke since it blocks my attack and I think I can be at the disadvantage if it releases its power." He said to me then drinks the water I gave to him. What?! Then, I've decided that I don't want to try since I will be a laughingstock if I will not blow a good strike even though this is was to get the beasts but also to determine what you do.

Kerz and Dravis followed to try the tree and the same results as the rest even though they did their best and I refuse when they told me next. 

"I don't think I have the quality to try it," I said when they insist me to try as I look around since they are waiting for my turn with their eyes looking down on me.

"Why don't you just try, Little Avy?" Kil told me as he put his arms on my shoulder.

"No thanks, you can have your turn and mind your own business," I said as I remove his hands and Prince Renz looks at me with amazement like Kerz and Klins reactions.

"Alright, alright," Kil said as he walks away from me and moves towards the tree. I look at him and he doesn't have a sword on his waists.

"He didn't have a weapon?" I said as I look at Prince Renz and Klin.

"He has a weapon." Prince Renz answered me as he looks at Kil. 

I looked at Kil and held out his hand and there is mana in his hand. After that, he moves to its fingertip and pointed at the tree like he was using a g*n but it was only his hands. He releases it towards the tree like a bullet and another sound from the tree just like Prince Renz's attack strength. I can't see because of the smoke but we heard sounds moving and gradually the smoke disappeared and we saw Kil attacking the wolf continuously and the wolf was using a transparent shield. Kil walks away from the wolf since it will not budge and be tamed as if he gives up as he walks towards us.

"That wolf is unbelievable." He whines when he nears us so I looked at them since they have unbelievable mana because of the impact of their attacks.

"You guys are a monster," I commented and they both look at me.

"Don't joke like that, little Avy." He said as he approached me while smiling and Prince Renz just followed him.

"Yeah, don't compare us." Prince Renz said to me as he looks at me.

"Ah, I am sorry, your Highness but I mean your mana is like a monster, and Kil also," I said because I was nervous with his smile or I should say smirk.

"Oh, really?" He said while Kil seconded him as he was nodding beside His Highness. I looked at them unbelievable because they looked like a child.

"Yes, Your Highness," I answered him.

After that, we go back to our camps since no one was able to tame the beasts and prepares dinner since it almost dinner time. Klin refuses also to participate and told us that he just an assistant so the trail ends there. Kerz and Dravis were in charge of the dinner so I was at the tree seating while watching Prince Renz and Kil chatting at the table while waiting for the dinner. 

I fell asleep for a while then Kerz wakes me up and dinner is already served so I went down and followed him.

"Eat with us Avy." Prince Renz told me as I'm about to leave since I plan to leave after getting food.

"I agree, Avy." Kerz seconded and Dravis nodded when I look at him. 

"Yeah, join us, Little Avy," Kil told me, too as he acted that I should sit with him but I just seated beside Kerz. 

"Okay," I said as we started to eat. The only ones who are noisy with us here are Kil and Prince Renz since they are the only ones who are talking while eating. 

"I am really curious, Little Avy why don't you want to try a while ago?" Kil suddenly asks me as he looked at me curiously.

"I just don't want to since I am just here to assists the Crown Prince," I answered him as I eat my dessert.

"You just copy Klin's statement," Kil said as he was pouting like a kid.

"I agree, why is that Avy?" Prince Renz seconded as he puts down his utensils and looks at me while grinning.

"Ahm, I just don't want to," I said while in my mind was 'don't ask me more because I lose confidence when I saw your attacks'

Thankfully, they stop questioning me and they returned to their camp to rest while Kerz, Dravis, and Klin cleaned up the table while I went for a little walk. I ended up going to the magical tree and the magical beast. 

I looked closely at the tree and I can say it was very beautiful because you could see the mana around it that served as a light, it was emerald color and it is really breathtaking while the wolf sleeping in its trunks also bright with its light blue highlight with ash color fur. I can't take off my eyes since it was really beautiful, then something strange when I felt someone is calling me towards the tree.

I snap at it when I was already in front of the tree and I did not realize that I had come to it voluntarily. I felt an urge to hold the tree so I hold the tree with my right hand and the tree light it up so I let go as I covered my eyes because of the brightness coming from the tree.

" How come? I didn't do--"
