The Crown Prince and Ian Welcome Party and the Festival Part 2

"Welcome back, Gabriel." Only one person called my name so I turned around and I was not mistaken.

"Miary! I thought you will not gonna meet me." I said.

"Unfortunately, I was able to attend."

"Hey, even though you are not willing to attend the welcoming party, you should at least act that you are happy."

"Yes, Your highness" she sarcastically answered me. It seems that she was not be given what she wants.

"By the way, where is your knight?"

"Why are you looking for my knight? how did you know that I have a knight?"

"Well, I have my connections Miary, so where is he?"

"Unfortunately, He is not with me because he said he needs rest."

~Ugh. "Ronan you.." he said that Avy will be always with Miary and now he is not.

"Did you say something?"

"Oh nothing, did you see Ronan?"

"I didn't. I've just arrived and looked for you at this boring party."

"I know right, I don't want to attend also but I am the star of the banquet and Ian. Speaking of Ian where the hell is he?" I said and ask the knight beside me if Ian arrived.

"Your highness, his majesty calls for you." a knight told me so I left her and go to the emperor.

"Yes, your majesty you called." I greeted as I bow.

"Where is Ian? ... hm that brat really doesn't want to attend the banquet. Anyway, I am proud of you Renz for leading the war and bring victory upon our country."

"Thank you, your majesty."

"You can go and enjoy the banquet, son."

"Yes, father. Then, I'll excuse myself." I answered. I looked at the queen who looks at me annoyed before I left them.

I heard noises from the crowd and heard the name of Ian. I went to the crowd and he was late then the party will end in an hour.

"Where have you been?! I waited for you and you just came when the party is over." I've said to him while he was walking towards the emperor. This guy will need a punishment. So, I grab him before he walks past me.

"I will just greet his majesty and go back to your state, your highness." He answered and greeted the emperor. Before, he walks out I grab him.

"Hey, I don't wanna hang here, your highness."

"No, you will accompany me until the party is over and that is an order."

"Ugh."

"Did you just ugh?" I asked while grinning at him telling him that he will not argue with me.

" No, your highness." Then, I let go of him because he is following me towards Miary.

"Lady Miary, I know you have heard about him but this is the first time you are meeting with each other personally, right? so this is Commander Ian of the Empire. Ian this is my childhood friend and the only daughter of Duke Collins."

"Nice to meet you, Lady Miary."

"Finally, it was nice to meet you too, Sir Ian. Thank you for taking care of Gabriel."

"No need to thank me, my lady. It is my duty to protect his highness."

"Even though." And she just smiled at him when she was talking to me she didn't smile like that. I looked at Ian and he seems surprised when she smiled as if he sees something in those smiles.

"Ahm. Don't act as if I was not here." I said because they are talking as if I was not there.

"We just getting to know each other Gabriel. Don't be so bitter."

"Your highness, you are the one who introduces us. I will go now if I am disturbing you." Now he goes back with his cold aura.

"Then, I will go off too, since I don't really like the atmosphere here, How about you Miary?"

"I think I should go, too."

"Then, Ian go escort Lady Miary to her state since her knight is not with her."

"Yes, your highness." But before they go I whisper to Ian to take a little investigating on Avy's achievements or information. I am interested in her knight since he quite has the talent and I want to hire him in my squad.

Hmm. I can't wait for Avy's secret.

*End Renz pov:*

I woke up when the sun is setting already, it is nearly in the evening so I got up to get ready. I planned to watch the lantern festival in the city because I can travel well and I have no one to watch. This is also the reason why I did not come along at the banquet even though I have the chance to see Ian. Well, this time I will definitely enjoy the festival because in the past years it was not, because of Lady Miary since we ended up not allowed to attend or we would have fallen into chaos, or it is either fighting with the seller or destroying the business. So I planned to take this opportunity to enjoy the festival without her but I can't go out like this since they will immediately recognize me, who escorted the Crown Prince and Commander Ian. So, I need to disguise before I will enjoy the festival.
