The Hunting Event Part 5

We also walked for a few minutes and saw Lady Miary with Gin, Marquess Ronan with his aide, I think, Prince Hanz with Dave, Ian, and other nobles and knights looking at the Big tree in the center. Not just an ordinary tree but a magical tree because you can feel the immense amount of mana and you can see the faint light around the tree means it has a lot of mana there.

They didn't notice us since they're looking at the tree and I didn't notice that it has something in the center of the tree like fruit. I ask Prince Renz what is that and he answered me it is a magical beast but not an ordinary magical animal since it can communicate to people that will just awaken and it will follow you if someone meets its standard. He explained to me that magical animals are hard to get since it only appears every 20 years all around the world and it's the first time that a magical beasts show up here in the Winter Kingdom so I was impressed because I did not know that it is difficult to get and see magical beasts. He also said that this one is newborn since it is usually said that it should be guarding the magical trees/magical river/magical swamp/magical mountain and this is the first time he has seen this.

I looked behind us because I heard a sound and I saw Kil with Klin. They look unscathed since I can't see any bloodstain in their clothes. Kil waved at me as if he was so happy to see but I didn't wave back at him because I cannot forget what he did to me in the shop last time.

"Hey. Why so cold?" He said when he got close to us. He greeted Prince Renz so Renz look back and he greeted him back as he looked back at the tree. Kil also looked at the tree and was amazed at what he witnessed.

"Your Highness, does this tree have something to do with the hunting?" I ask Prince Renz so he looked at me as well as Kil.

"Well, sort of, since anyone here can get the magical beasts will be awarded and has the opportunity to enter the imperial palace with a higher position." He answered me so I just nodded.

"Then, how do the magical beasts choose its master?" I ask again.

"It's very simple little Avy. You will only attack the magical tree with all your might then hold the tree for seconds." Kil told me and Prince Renz just seconded. Really is that all? 

"That simple but why they aren't getting started?" I said because they were just looking at the tree from earlier since when we arrived.

"Don't you see it?" Prince Renz told me while looking at the tree so I looked forward and saw the tree is producing light but not the tree but it comes from the magical beasts. We all blinded by the light since it is too bright for us to look at it. 

"That was a troublesome light," Kil commented as he was covering his eyes.

Although, I can see a little since I was trained back then so I can see the magical beasts transform and I could see a shadow of a dog? I guess? I am not sure of it. After the light from the magical beasts disappeared, I could only see clearly and a baby wolf was sleeping in the tree. The fur is gray with a light blue shade and I can say it is very cute.

We all looked at the sleeping baby beasts at the trunks of the tree. Everyone looked at each other and there we just looked at Lady Miary and everyone there. Everyone in there greeted Prince Renz since he walks forward to the tree and announces that everyone can have their chance to hit the tree and the first one to try is the one who first arrived. Since we are second to last who just arrive, we will wait when it is our turn since Prince Renz refuses to be the first one and told us that it will be unfair for those who arrive first. All of them agreed and clap for Prince Renz as a good model and not taking for granted his status as a Prince while Kil teasing Prince Renz that even guys will be falling in love with him but Prince Renz just punches him. Kil immediately dodges Prince Renz while he said that he was joking so Prince Renz stopped. They look like children especially Prince Renz who is easy gets annoyed by Kil but I can say the same with Kil since he is still annoying Prince Renz told Kil to stop or else he will really kill him so Kil acting to close his mouth as he put his arms in the air. Prince Renz commented 'good' since Kil didn't open his mouth again.

The first one who arrived was a noble knight and he attacks the tree with all his might but the magical tree didn't react at all and the beasts wake up as he chases away the noble knight even though he had not yet touched the tree. So, it means he has not qualified so the next one still the same results. 

"Your Highness, why did the magical beasts wakes up and attack them?" I ask him because he said earlier that it will only wake up when qualified but why it is attacking and chases away from the tree.

"Hm. I am not sure about that since this was my first time witnessing this and that was written in the book of All Things," He said and I think it was similar to the book that I've seen in the library.

"Oh, I guess it has its own qualifications according to the magical beasts," I said while thinking about it how to tame the magical beasts since not everyone is in power.

"Exactly, little Avy! You're easy to catch up," Kil said to me and he put his arm around me as if we were close friends so I immediately removed his hand.

"Excuse me, Sir Kil. If you don't mind, please call me Sir Avy, and please don't act like we're close friends." I said to him that's why he looked so sad that you thought he was like a child who got stolen his candy while Prince Renz laughs because of what I've said.

"I taught we're friends when we eat at the bakeshop in the city a few days ago." He said acting about to cry so I was even more irritated because of his drama.

"Nope, and I will not forget what you did that day," I said before I turned my back on him and I planned to go to see Lady Miary and Gin.

"So cold, Little Avy," he commented.

"Yeah, I can agree with that Kil." Prince Renz agreed to Kil as I walking towards Lady Miary. I can hear you guys. 

I went to Lady Miary's place and left Prince Renz and Kil since I saw Ian, Marquess Ronan, and Prince Hanz approaching them so I left.

"So cold, Little Avy." he commented.

"Yeah, I can agree with that Kil." I agreed to Kil since Avy was so cold and distant to others except for Lady Miary and her maid. 

"Is he like that to you, too?" He asks me so I answered him 'sort of, something like that but..' as I smirk at him.

"But? Hey, don't tease me," He said as he crossed his arms like a kid who tantrums so I laughed at him.

"Stop that Kil. You are not a kid anymore." I said to him so he looked at me badly so I said yes 'okay, okay'.

"Well, I can say that he is not cold to me as he is to you," I told him as I smiled at him but it is most likely teasing him.

"Stop smiling at me because I feel like your looking down on me." He said so I laughed.

"But I think something is off." He said and his face was serious.

"Why?" I ask him since I am curious about it when it comes to Avy since I also feel somethings off with Avy.

"It's hard to say tha----"

"Greetings, Your Highness Prince Renz, and Prince Kilden." Ian, Ronan, and Prince Hanz greeted us so Kil stopped what he was going to say.

"Hey, How are you guys?" I said to them. 

"I am fine, your Highness," Ian said with his bored expression.

"I'm okay, Your Hig--Big Brother. How about you?" Prince Hanz asks me. I answered him that I am okay.

"Perfectly good, Your Highness," Ronan answered me.

"I am glad to see you all, again," Kil said to them and they smiled but their expressions tell otherwise.

"Don't be like that, come on guys. Let's enjoy the hunting event." He said while Ian and Ronan were with them while Hanz just looking at them. Ian and Ronan look like want to go away from Kil. Kil is so out-going and all his subordinates meet bad luck and we've also experienced that.

I greeted Lady Miary when I get close to them, and she looked at me up and down so I wonder why she looks at me like that. She covered her nose so I ask her whats the problem.

"Avy, did you use blood to wash because you were covered with blood," She said while still covering her nose.

"Oh, that. Maybe?" I said jokingly to her.

"I think you should get change as soon as possible because you reeks of blood," She said. I just said yes but of course, I can't change since I have no replacement with me.

"Did Prince Renz treat you well?" She asks me so I wondered if Prince Renz treated me well.

"Maybe?" I said as I put some bandages on my wound.

"Maybe? Don't tell me he didn't treat you we--- you have wounds?!" She said when she turned to me.

"Yes, it's just a small wound but the Prince treated me well so don't worry," I said while I looked at her smiling.

"Really? You're not covering him?" She suspiciously looks at me.

"Yes, Milady and why would I do that even though he is the Prince but he is not my master," I said to her and she blushed because of my answer and look away.

"Good," She said and helped me put the bandage on my hand.

"Thank You, Lady Miary." I said while sitting and looking at the tree.

It was getting dark so we stopped trying to get the magical beasts and then continue it tomorrow. Everyone built up their camps near the magical tree since it would be safer since animals cannot go near the tree because of the mana around it. I said goodbye to Lady Miary to return to Prince Renz's place since Ian, Ronan, and Prince Hanz have left to build their camp and rest.

Prince Renz is still with Kil but Kerz and Dravis are already there and building up our camps so as the subordinates of Kil. So, our camps are just near each other and I can tell that it will be a pain in the a*s since I have to be really careful especially in changing because I really need to change and take a bath. I'm sticking to myself because from head to toe there is blood so I hate the way I look.

Prince Renz and Kil looked at me when I arrived and Kil immediately smiled and approached me while His Highness just looked at me.

"So, how is Lady Miary?" He asks me while holding my both hands so I removed his hand.

"She's okay, Sir Kil," I said to him and I pass him as I greeted his highness before I approached Kerz and Dravis to help build our camp.

"Kil why does he calls you Sir? Doesn't he know that you are a Prince?" I ask Kil since Avy just treated him with respect for being noble or has a higher position than him. I just thought earlier that they were really friends and teasing since Prince Kil doesn't want to be called by his nickname by others who are not close to him.

"Nope, so shhh since I really like his reactions and I would like to enjoy being hidden more a little since I can't do this if they know that I am a Prince." He said. He has a point since you cannot enjoy when they treated you differently just because you are Prince.

"So, did you enjoy the Lantern festival instead of being exposed that you came here and you even delayed your envoy to the palace?!" I ask him, and he just smiled at me makes me more annoyed.
