Pain

"It's not funny," He said while frowning as he is looking out the window.

"Haha, I am sorry," I said as I pat his head while enduring the pain.

*knock * *knock*

"Ash, you should go. Ian is coming in," I said.

"I told you, I will not leave you but I failed. However, from now on I will stick to you so that I can take care of you," He said as he seated down beside me as he rests his head on my shoulders.

"Here we go again. Ash, I am not in the mood to play with you," I said because he is being stubborn again like a child as I tried to push him but I don't have any strength and the pain is really killing me.

"Avy here is--!!" Ian said but he stopped talking when he saw Ash beside me so I was nervous looking at him.

"What are you doing here?" Ian said as he looked at Ash with a cold stare while Ash just smiled at him while still beside me.

"Am I not allowed to take care of my master?" He said as he obviously teasing Ian so he glared at Ash even more.

"No, but you are not allowed in my room so leave at once," He said to Ash as he pulls him away from me but Ash suddenly hugs me so Ian no longer pulled Ash. Ian glared at him when he hugs me but Ash just smirks at Ian.

"Could you let go of me Ash," I said coldly since I am enduring the pain because I don't want Ian to saw me ranting that it's hurt since I am not a kid anymore.

"No, he will kick me out if I let go of you," He said like a kid so I looked at him seriously.

"It's so f*cking hurts you know! Let go!" I shouted because he is hugging me so tightly that he let go of me suddenly.

"I didn't know. I am sorry," He said as he looks like a puppy that was scolded by his mom so I sighed.

"You should've told me Avy if you were in pain so that I didn't let you seated if your body is in pain," Ian said as he looked at me with his worried face. This is what I'm saying, he always treated me like a kid even though in fact I was older than him. Although, sometimes I acted like a kid, and it's my nature to be like that.

"I am okay, don't worry too much Ian. I am not a kid anymore," I said as I smiled at him.

"Yes, right but I am really worried about you when Philip called me with his unrecognizable face and telling me that you faint," He said. What? Wait? Unrecognizable?! So I looked at Ash whistling as if he didn't hear anything while looking away.

"Ash, how many times did you punched him?" I ask while glaring at him so he looked at me while Ian was curiously looking at us.

"...3, erm, no...4 times! Yes, 4 times," He said while panicking as he looks away because I look at him badly.

"Really?" I asked him.

"Yes," He said.

"You should at least make it 10 that he can be barely recognizable," I said while as I hold my chin as I making a scary expression.

'Hey, is she always like that?' Ash whispered to Ian.

'N~no, it is the first time that she acted like that' He answered.

'Really? She looks like an evil witch,' Ash commented.

'Just this one, I agree with you' Ian said as they both looking at Avy who is smiling scary on her face when she suddenly looks at them, and they were surprised.

"What were you guys murmuring?" I said since they were whispering something since I can't hear them.

"Nothing," Ian said, "I didn't utter a single word," Ani ni Ash as he smiled at me.

"Really?" I said as I looked at them both to see if they were telling the truth since I feel like they are talking about me.

"Yes," They both said in unison.

"Alright," I said,

"Here, you eat first before you take the pill," Ian said as he prepares my food in front of me with the small table.

"I will feed you, Master," Ash said as he sits beside me again since he stood up earlier with Ian so I just looked at him.

"I can do it," Ian said as he pulled Ash away from me as he sits beside me. Here, we go again so I sighed as I was looking at the two of them because they were both pulling each other like they are playing the game of tag.

"Both of you, get out. I'll eat by myself," I said as I glared at them. Their faces were sad as they looked at me with those pitiful looks on their faces especially Ash who is like an abandoned puppy.

"That won't work. Get out. I want peace, please?" I said because my body is already hurting as well as my head is starting to get hurt just looking the both of them.

"Alright. Just call me if you need something," Ian said after he sighed. "Are you really be okay on your own?" Ash said while looking at me with his puppy look, and I can almost see his ears and tail with teary eyes as he looks at me.

"I'll be fine so you two can leave," I said as I look away from them because I might change my mind since they really looked so pitiful.

After they leave the room, I eat peacefully even though I am enduring pain every time I moved my hands. Fortunately, I am done eating for almost an hour and they didn't bother me or they didn't knock if I am done or not. I also take the pill that was given by Philip and I can say his medicine is effective since after 5 minutes the pain all over my body was gone so I stood up and stretched first.

"Ash? Ian? Are you there?" I said when I could get close to the door because I didn't want to go out since I am with my real appearance but no one is answering so I opened the door.

"E-eh!? Eyaahhhh!" The maid shouted as she runs away when she saw me after she saw me coming out from Ian's room. I wouldn’t have thought that Ash or Ian wasn’t outside and I remembered that Ash said to me that he will not leave me but what is this? Ugh, I failed to stop her so it will only take minutes before the whole residence will know that Ian brought a lady into his room since I didn't change my appearance. 

"What a pain in the a*s," I said as I walk to my room since it's not that far away so I'll go back to my room when I can change my clothes.

I'm already lying down after I've changed my clothes when I heard some footsteps not just one person or two but many footsteps so I sat down since I don't have much strength because all my strength seemed to be drained. "Avy!! Why did you leave in my room?" Ian said after he barge into my room with the maid and other staff in his back while Ash beside Ian who can't look at me so I looked at them with a bored expression as if I am saying that 'I need rest so leave'-look.

"I am not comfortable in your room so I went back to my room since it is much comfortable," I said as I lay down when I am supposed to be worried that they know my real gender but I feel like that it is okay since it is Ian's staff so I feel relief.

"Alright. Take a rest, let's talk later. I will talk to them," He said as I signed that they can go out because I was going to sleep so I closed my eyes. I heard them coming out of my room but I felt someone sitting on my bed so I woke up and looked at who.

"What are you doing here, Ash?" I said and closed my eyes after I looked at who it was.

"Guarding you," He said,

"Really? When you just leave me a while ago?" I said while still trying to sleep so I don't know what expression he's showing off but his voice is somewhat regretting.

"It's just I did something but when I came back to see you. You are not there and I heard that one of the maids talking about the beautiful woman coming out of Ian's room. I tried to stop the rumor but it's too late so Ian called an emergency meeting to clear up but since you are not well," He said as he brushes off my hair so I looked at him and he was smiling while looking at me.

"Well, I expected that when I fail to stop the maid who saw me so I guess we don't have a choice but to let them know," I said with my face's expression is serious.

"But what if someone will leak it?" He said with a worried expression but I just smiled at him telling that 'it's okay'. 

"It's okay. I know they will not betray Ian's trust in them since they really love Ian and I trust Ian that he will convince them to keep it," I said since I can tell that they are not noble but a slave or commoner since they have some scars and how they act to me so I know Ian nurtured them.

"Is that so?" He said,

"Yes, so don't worry too much as long as no one knows from the royal family my real identity or what was my origin," I said as I look at him with determination.

"Is it because they might kill you if they know that you are one of those children who died back then when they executed all the babies who are a newborn or a year old?" He said so I nodded since I told him one time when we are looking for my teacher one time.

"Alright. I really hope that they are trustworthy or el-- You should rest well," He said as he smiled at me. I am not sure if I was reminiscing earlier when he suddenly looked serious because he is smiling now when he was saying something or el? I think it is or else but he didn't finish it.

"Okay," I said so I went to sleep. 

"I will be by your side no matter what. I will kill everyone who hurts you, whether intentionally or not," Ash said with hatred on his face as he kissed Avy's hair who is sleeping when his expression soften.

I woke up when someone is stroking my head and to find out it is Ash as he is smiling at me. 

"Good Morning, Master," He said as he looks at me happy that I can almost see his wolf ears and tail waving at me.

"Good morn--What?! Morning?!" I said because when I went to sleep it was morning.

"Yes~," He said as he looked at me in confusion.

"Oh, never mind. I am hungry," I said so I got up to eat in the dining room since I feel that my energy is back so I don't need to eat here while Ash is supporting me in case that I will fall down so I looked at him badly.

"I am okay, Ash. I don't need assistance," I said while walking out of my room.

"Fine. Don't blame me if you fall down," He said as he shrugs his shoulders as if he was telling me that 'don't say that I didn't warn you if you fall down'.

"Yes, yes," I answered bluntly as I rolled my eyes.

"Good morning, Lady," They greeted me, the maids who were outside the dining room so I was startled when they called me Lady when I am not used to it since I, myself is not a Lady since I changed my appearance back to my boy version so why do they call me Lady.

"Eh~ don't call me that," I said as I smiled since it's making me uncomfortable.

"Then, Miss Avy?" One of the maids said as they looked at me with puppy eyes.

"Just Avy will do," I said.

"Alright, can we see you in your real appearance Avy?" They said as if they are eager to see my appearance that badly.

"I can't since I need to be careful, and I am hoping that you guys will keep it a secret no matter what," I said as I smiled at them sweetly as they giggled.

"Of course," They said before Ash and I went in.

"Good morning, Avy," Ian said so I greeted him too and I looked at Philip with a bruise on his face.

"Good morning," Philip said when I already seated in front of him while Ash beside me.

"Morning," I said as I looked at him and he looks away as I smiled widely since I can't control myself that he looks so pitiful and I want to tease him badly.

"How are you Avy? Did you have a good rest?" Ian asks me.

"Yes, and I can easily control my mana," I said as I looked at Philip who is eating.

"Good. By the way, you have a letter," He said before he eats so I wondered what letter it was and from whom.

"From?" I ask him.

"It's from --"
