The Hunting Event Part 6

"Nope, so shhh since I really like his reactions and I would like to enjoy being hidden more a little since I can't do this if they know that I am a Prince." He said. He has a point since you cannot enjoy when they treated you differently just because you are Prince.

"So, did you enjoy the Lantern festival instead of being exposed that you came here and you even delayed your envoy to the palace?!" I ask him, and he just smiled at me makes me more annoyed.

"Well, it is a pain in the a*s if you have many attendants following you around in the festival so I didn't send my envoy." He answered me.

"Yeah, and I thought that you are not going to attend again," I said since he didn't attend last year because he goes to a festival in another country.

"I am not really going to attend." He said so I was annoyed and I grabbed his collar towards me as I ask said 'what!?'.

"But I meet someone interesting so I decided to attend." He said as he put his arms like a shield with chest level as he diverted his eyes.

"So, should I be thankful for that someone because you attended the hunting?" I said as I let go of him.

"Sort of." He said as he chuckled. I was about to pull him again when he said that but he said he was joking so I didn't grab him.

"Then, who is she?" I ask him since he likes women for him to attend this event and I remembered that he even pursue a little girl back then because he likes her.

"How do I say this? hm." He said as if wondering how he will explain it.

"What? Is she a noble?" I ask him while looking at him.

"Well, he is a knight and he is here," He said while nodding.

"So, she is a knight~~  Wait, what?! HE?!?!" I said since he didn't say she but 'HE'.

"Yes, did you hurt your hearing Renz?" He said as he shakes his head and he looks at me in disappointment.

"Ah, no. Hmm, that's unusual since you never liked a knight back then and it is a guy." I said and he just smiled at me innocently.

"Is there any problem with liking it now since he is very interesting?" He said as he hums while looking at Avy, Dravis, and Kerz.

"No, but.... nevermind," I said as I scratch the back of my head.

I looked at Kil since he instructs Kerz not to tell Avy whatever it is. So, he is acting with his arms an X while whispering 'no, don't tell him or else *cuts the neck*' and Kerz swallowed because of Kil's threat so he said 'nothing' as he continues what he was doing. I think Kerz asks Avy why does he call Kil just sir Kil and that's why Kil glared at him when he looks on our way since we are approaching them.

Kerz asks me why do I call Sir Kil just Sir Kil and I ask if is there a problem with it, and he didn't answer immediately. I noticed he was looking behind me so I turned around and I saw Prince Renz and Kil approaching us as Kil signaled something because he diverted his eyes and lowered his hands and placed them behind him. I looked again at Kerz who is sweating now before he answers me with 'nothing' and he continues to what he was doing. Even though I was wondering what it is but I decided not to asked again since I think it's not important.

They talked to me a little when they approached me. I was surprised when Prince Renz requested for me to cook the dish that I've cooked for our breakfast while Kil was curiously asking what is that. I ask why and he answered me that he likes it so Kil was asking Prince if he can join us at the dinner and Prince Renz refuses him while they are walking away from me. And since I had to prepare my dishes I left Kerz and Dravis as I said to them that I'll take care of the dinner since the Prince requested and they say 'okay'.

I prepare all the ingredients and I soak the chicken in the marinade that I've made of soy, sugar, and other herbs. Kerz helps me with the fire where will be cooking the chicken since they have already done with the camp. We were surprised when Lady Miary with Gin arrived holding a chicken and Prince Renz and Kil were behind them. 

"Avy, do you have no intention of calling me since you will be cooking? Did you forget that if you were going to cook, you will call me?" She said as she handed the chicken 'Cook this, too'.

"Ah, well, it's not that Lady Miary since we are not in the state." I awkwardly answered her as I get the chicken.

"Even though. If he didn't say that he will join Prince Renz because you were the cook when I was about to ignore his blubbering." She said while looking at Kil and Prince Renz. I glared at them and both of them diverted their eyes as they whispering something like Renz scolding Kil for mentioning it to Lady Miary.

"Okay, my mistake," I said as I handed the chicken to Kerz to cut it into smaller pieces as I prepare for the things I am going to use. Her Grace left me as she goes back to the bonfire that Dravis made of as well as for the Prince and Kil. I asked Kerz if he was okay because I was ordering him as if he were my cooking assistant and he answers me that he is okay since it's not that difficult. 

Kerz asked me about other cooking because this was the first time he had seen this kind of cooking. I teach him some techniques on how to cook different ways with chicken, and he even takedown notes of it. I laughed at him because he was seriously listening to me. I also make mushroom soup since I saw a lot of mushrooms earlier that can be eaten and I remember Kerz this morning because he made the sauce like a soup.

"This is a soup Kerz since it has more watery than the sauce. Speaking of, I remembered that you make the sauce a soup this morning.*chuckle*," I said teasing him, and his face turns red because of embarrassment.

"Stop, Avy. Don't make me remember because of my idiocy." He said as he turns his back on me so I'm even happier because he's cute.

"Come on, it's okay since--"

"So, you know how to smile and laugh, Little Avy," Kil intervened to us so I lost my smiles and bored looking at him.

"What do you need?" I coldly ask him as I continue steering the soup while the person next to me stoned when we faced Kil.

"Well, I can't wait to taste what you've cooked." He said to me as he was looking at the soup.

"Hmm. Do you want to have a taste?" I ask him since he was looking at it as if he is saying 'what kind of soup is this or food' so I took a spoon.

"Can I?" He said with his eyes looks sparkling.

"Of course, then you tell me if how was it," I said to him even though I am pissed with him. I scoop a little and feed the soup at him. I was surprised and looked at Kerz because he let go of the plate while looking at us in shock. I even raised an eyebrow at him because he was stunned and said 'get the plates ready' and he just nodded. I look at Kil since I fed him the soup and he was smiling at me that's why I feel awkward again and I thought about it earlier when Kerz looked at us. Picturing myself feeding Kil comes inside my head, that's why I got a facepalm.

"I think you should add more salt to taste but the consistency of the soup is good." He commented so I nodded and let go of the spoon I was holding and take salt. I add a little bit more salt and stirred the soup and when I was about to taste the soup with the soup ladle when Kil handed me a spoon so I took it and used it for tasting and the taste is good.

"Let me taste it again," Kil said as he gets the spoon on my hands and uses it to taste again the soup when I was about to get the spoon that I used but its too late because it was already in his mouth.

"It tastes great, Little Avy. What?" he said as he was looking at me while my right hands were about to get the spoon so I lowered my hand.

"Why did you use my spoon?" I said to him.

"What? I use this one first and I just lend it to you since it is not appropriate to use the soup ladle for tasting." He said while holding the spoon for pointing me.

"*facepalm* Ugh. Nevermind. Go back there since I will be serving the dinner." I said and took the spoon from him.

He left and returned to Prince Renz as you can see his wondering face because of my reaction. You can say that I might be too conservative for being sensitive with an indirect kiss or what since I've never been into a relationship. I called Kerz to serve the soup to them and I continued cooking the chicken he was doing. I followed him with the dish that I cooked for them.

"Here you go. Eat up and fill your stomach." I said as I put them in the center. As I go back to fix the things and they ate. I have the habit that I really can't eat what I've cooked so I'll just clean up the mess and I am not really comfortable eating with them even though lady Miary is there. They are having fun while eating and I am happy that Lady Miary is having fun also. Prince Hanz, Ian, and Ronan came so I turned to them and I wondered if it was enough for what I cooked since they didn't tell me that it had become a restaurant here. I peeked at the dish that I've served earlier and it's still a bit much so I don't have to cook anymore.

Since I am not really comfortable with them, I went to the river since it is a little bit close for me to take a rest. I sat on the rock as I paddled my feet even though it was cold it was okay because I got hot earlier so I will cool down first. I enjoy the cold breeze that touches my skin. I turned to my side because I felt someone beside me.

"I-ian?" I said. I closed my eyes a few more times and squeezed his cheek if I was not mimicking.

"You never change, Avy. *chuckled* you really like to stay near the river and being alone," He said so I slapped myself because maybe I was just tired when he suddenly hugged me.

"I never thought that it was really you when I've heard about you since you use your name but you change your hair color and eyes. I'm glad that it's you." He said as he hugged me tightly that's why I hugged him too.

"You are an i***t, Ian," I said as I punch him so he walked away from me but also came and I said 'you never recognize me ?!' and he said that he was not sure not until he tastes the dish that I've cooked and there he became sure I was. We chatted as we both paddled in the river. Ever since we were little, we spend our time here and here we talk about different things or about magic. He even teases me that I didn't grow up since I was just his shoulder level and I answered that he was just tall and I'm still growing but he just laughed at me. 

"How did you end up as Lady Miary's knight?" He changed our topic so I looked at the water.

"*took a deep breath* I decided to have a journey after you left and I met her on my way," I told him how did I meet Lady Miary but I didn't tell him what happened to Lady Layla and the main reason why did I went to a journey. He just listens to me until then while I'm playing with the water.
