The Hunting Event Part 4

"What were you doing so long in the river, your Highness? I have been looking for you." Kerz asks the Prince as was preparing the breakfast.

"Well, we get rid of our dark circles." He casually said as he walks towards his camp while grabbing me with him.

Kerz just watches us confusedly as we go into the camp, well I have been dragged by the Prince. I didn't see Dravis so I guess he is in the other camp to take a rest. Renz let me go as he removes his clothes so I immediately get his new clothes and assisted him. Both of us didn't say anything, hence the quiet and deafening silence After he changes his clothes, I excuse myself to change as well and he just nodded as he cleans his sword while sitting on his bed.

I am having a dilemma if I am going inside the camp or not since I am in front of the camp so I'm using my fingers if I'm going in or not and it says 'no'. However, I can't go like this since I am wearing only white polo without my vest and coat, and lastly, my things are in there. I was surprised when someone suddenly spoke from behind and Kerz asked me if what am I doing and have not yet entered to get change. I couldn't answer and grabbed the curtain that was the door of the camp when Kerz suddenly pushed me inside and I fell on my knees as I said 'ouch'. I stumbled because Kerz suddenly pushed me and I got on my knees to stand as I look in front of me. I saw Dravis's shocked face staring at me so I immediately stood up and apologized to him. I quickly took my things for later and left immediately. I immediately looked for Kerz to recover because my knee hurt earlier when he pushed me.

*Dravis was surprised when he heard a noise so he looked at the entrance and saw Avy on his knees. He didn't immediately talk as Avy says sorry as he immediately gets his things and went outside. He was like 'what was that' and somewhat he sees Avy like a cat when he looks at him.*

I can't see him when I went out of the camp. I look around but he isn't here so I walk around and I could hear the conversation of Kerz and Prince Renz inside. I came a little closer to hear what they were talking about.

"How are you, Your Highness?" He asks Prince Renz. I know it's not good to listen to what others conversation but I'm really curious what they're talking about.

"Surprisingly, I am okay. I was wondering why since *creak*" Renz stopped talking because of the sound I stepped on so I was nervous and immediately left their camp. I was in the tree now and I saw Kerz come out to see who was outside. Fortunately, he saw a rabbit running so he didn't go out.

'That was close' I whispered before I went down and looked for something to cook for our breakfast.

"Surprisingly, I am okay. I was wondering why since *creak*" I stopped when we heard some noise outside the camp so I told Kerz to look for it. Kerz comes back and he said it was just a rabbit so I said okay but I don't know why I feel it is not a rabbit. 

"Are you going to drink that again?" Kerz asks me as he looked at the bottle that I hold. I wonder if I will drink it or not since I don't feel tired or exhausted after I drank one yesterday.

"Hm. I am not sure but I don't feel tired after I drank yesterday." I told him and he was grateful.

"Did the physician gets rid of the side effects? since that was the new sets arrive yesterday from him." Kerz said to me.

"I don't think so? Since he will inform me ahead of time." I said.

"Maybe, he forgot to inform you since he once forgot to tell you back then when he lessen the side effects." He said so I am somewhat convinced but why do I feel that it is not.

"Yeah, your right. Let's asks him after the Hunting." I said.

"But are you going to drink that again?" he asked me again.

"No, since I am not tired and I don't feel body pain," I said as I put the bottle in my pocket.

"That's great, your Highness. I was worried that you cannot handle it again until the end." He said. Last year's event I participated but I didn't finish it alone since Kerz and Dravis helps me because of the side effects of this healing potion. We win but I was the one they recognize since they are just my aides. This is a good sign that I can do it alone since we will be going to the center of the forest where the high quality of magic stones since the animals are tougher than the first ones we encountered. It is more difficult to fight them because they know how to fight and they can determine if their opponent is weaker or stronger than them.

"Is the breakfast ready?" I ask Kerz and he looked at me nervously shyly.

"Not yet, Your Highness but I will prepare right away." He said as he opens and we smell delicious outside that's why both of us got out because this is the first time I can smell this dish and I know Kerz is the same. We saw Avy, who is busy cooking our breakfast.

I was enjoying cooking our breakfast that I didn't notice that Prince Renz and Kerz came out and they were looking at what I was cooking. I cooked some marinated chicken and then I fried it so the smell is so delicious that even I was getting hungry. I said to them that sit down and wait for me to serve their breakfast and they just nodded as they seated down. I already served their food and they looked at the food in front of them as if I was wondering if it could be eaten or not. since they are not used to this kind of dish. So, I said they should eat already and the food was not poisonous. They tasted it even though they were hesitant but when they tasted it they ate as I put down the sauce I made and they looked at me again as if they are asking what's this. Kerz almost drank the sauce since he thought it was a soup so I stopped him at said that it is a sauce of the chicken. I laughed because it reminded me of Lady Layla and the staff of the restaurant that they look so ignorant so Kerz and Prince Renz looked at me puzzled as if they are saying 'Is he okay?' or 'did he just laughed at us?'. 

"You can do this and eat it," I said as I demonstrate to them how to eat the fried chicken as I dipped it into the sauce with my bare hands and eat it. They were surprised because I hold the chicken with my bare hands since it was a hassle to use a spoon and fork. They hesitate to do it but then Prince Renz holds his chicken while Kerz told that doesn't need to do it. But Prince Renz seemed to hear nothing and he still imitated me so Kerz did have a choice and do nothing. I think we forgot something and we forgot Dravis so I stood up and they looked at me.

"I'll call Dravis so both of you continue to eat," I said to them and they just nodded as I walk to our camp.

I called him that its time to eat but he did not answer and I waited for a minute so I was about to leave when it suddenly open. I was stunned for a bit because he looks so handsome even though he just woke up with his messy hair that gives more appeal and I said to him that the breakfast is ready and his highness is already eating. He just nodded as he goes out and passed me since I didn't move immediately so I quickly followed him. He seated beside Kerz who is still busy eating and I serve him his food and the same reaction with Kerz and Prince Renz. Kerz teaches Dravis how to eat that and he hesitates at first but then he does it at the end.

After that, Kerz took care of the dishes while Prince Renz and I immediately depart to the center of the forest to catch more-powerful animals and Dravis goes back to sleep since he lacks sleep. We encountered a bear, tiger, wild boar, and many more on the way, and we rest for a while and eat our lunch about an hour before we continued to go to the center. It was two hours before we got here in the middle of the forest and the animals were so much stronger here because I could feel them even though I could see nothing. It seems they are hidden from those rocks and big trees around us since the size of the trees here is different and not a normal tree.

"Stay alert, Avy." Prince Renz told me as he prepares his sword that's why I'm ready too because I can already feel the heavy feeling around us.

I nodded in response as I looked around and suddenly a tiger appeared in front of me. I use my sword as a shield but I was pushed back and hit the tree due to the impact of its attack while Prince Renz asks me if I'm okay and I said that 'I am okay' since we both have an opponent so he can't help me. I stood up and I attack the tiger but the tiger is tough since it can dodge me and knows when to attack so I'm a bit surprised but I need to kill it and assists his Highness. I attack the tiger and it dodges as it also attacks me and I block its attack. I move faster and stab at his heart as its blood sprayed at me. Damn, I will smell like blood again but never mind that, more importantly, I should help his highness since he is dealing with two opponents which are tiger and bear but he already killed the first one.

"Your Highness, let me assists you," I said as I also sided with him.

"Then, handle the tiger and I'll take the bear," He said as he attacks the bear and walked away so the bear followed him, and the tiger was waiting for an opening to attack me since he is like a cat that observing its prey before it will move. I suddenly moved to jump but the tiger suddenly attacked me so I immediately backed away. However, I got scratched on my arms that held my sword so I have to finish it so I can treat myself since I can't heal myself with my mana. I move forward to the tiger with faster movements and I stab its heart. Its blood again splatters on me as I held the magic stone from its chest. 

"You really like blood, huh" Prince Renz commented as he wields his sword to remove the bloodstain, as he put it back to its scabbard. 

"Nah, the blood likes me, Your Highness," I said as I put the magic stone in my pocket and put it but my sword to the scabbard.

"Really? *chuckle* then let's go further since we're almost there in the center." He said as he stretched for a bit. 

"Okay. By the way, Your Highness what's in the center of the forest?" I said since I'm getting curious about it because Lady Miary once mentioned it to me before.

"You'll know it when we get there." He said and I can see the excitement on his face as he looks forward while walking straight so I just followed him.

We also walked for a few minutes and we saw Lady Miary with Gin, Marquess Ronan with his aide, I think, Prince Hanz with Dave, Ian, and other nobles and knights looking at the Big tree in the center. Not just an ordinary tree but a magical tree because you can feel the immense amount of mana and you can see the faint light around the tree means it has a lot of mana there.
