Mysterious Lady

"I didn't know you can fight."

"Well, you didn't ask me." I smiled.

"You are not an ordinary Lady, which house are you?" Crown Prince asked me when we are approaching them

"I am just an ordinary citizen that knows how to fight," I said as I looked at him uninterested.

"Then my guess is correct that you are not an ordinary girl." he rebuttal as he looked at me as if he was observing me if I am telling the truth or not.

"I supposed," I said in a not uninterested tone.

"I think I need to go, thank you for your His Highness, Sir Ian, and Lady Miary for escorting me here." I bowed. And left them in the alley and I didn't wait for their response. I was tired because of that incident. How can I come back if until now they are both still outside the Inn hidden in a dark part but I can see them from here although they preceded Lady Miary earlier. I'm ready to leave the place, however, there is only one exit here, so I have no choice but to go through the window even though I can be seen here because of the moonlight. I carefully packed my things in my little bag and my coat that covered my face, I looked at their location and they were busy talking so I jumped while they were not looking the inn.

"Fck~~ "I whispered because my arm hit the wall but it was not broken but there was a bit of noise so they looked at the inn suspiciously. I was thankful that it was dark here, where I am now but they suddenly slowly approaching, so I immediately walked gently to avoid creating a sound.

When I was far enough from the inn I started to run and because my face was covered by the coat I bumped into a person and touched me before I finally fell but when I felt where he/she touched me was on my chest, even though I covered with bandages but it was not too thick so I could still felt his/her hands from my chest. That's why I immediately moved away from the person who supported me. Fck. what hell did he/she just hold me?

"You okay?" He said. Yes he is a HE according to his voice is so beautiful but why do I seem to be praising him.

"Yes, thank you. I'm sorry for bumping into you."

"H-hey, I didn't mean to-- I'm Sorry?!" he shouted but I ignored him because I needed to get back.

After an hour I arrive at Collins state. I quietly entered the mansion, I passed by my window which I deliberately opened. I opened the lights and immediately changed my clothes and hid the coat I used. I check the time and it is 1:35 am. Damn, it was what a long day the next time I will not going to wear those things again because unfortunate things happen.

Crown Prince Pov:

"Did you hear that Ian?" I said while looking at the Inn where Miss Yesha is staying. If you are asking why we are here is because Lady Miary insists to take a watch for her safety, I couldn't refuse because she will gonna make my ears bleed with her runts and whimpers saying that a prince should ensure the safety of his citizen and more.

"Yes, your highness."

"Let's take a look, it came from the Inn."

"It's in that side, your highness." He said pointing near the alley, it's so dark that we can't see what's there but I am absolutely it is not a stray cat based on the sounds. I signed Ian to follow me as we approaching the alley where the sounds came from.

"It's nothing in there your highness but look at the windows up, it is opened. Let's take a look inside maybe Miss Yesha is in danger." Ian's said and we ask the owner of the inn that a thief might get in and the owner calls all his customers but Yesha is not there. We ask the owner where is the room of Miss Yesha and it was the open window. I think she runs away from us. I was really curious about her even though Lady Miary didn't want us to watch over her because the goons may come again but she just runs away before they come back. She's not just good at fighting, she is also smart to think that to run from her enemies and I don't think that she saw us outside since we are secretly hiding.

"Let's go, Ian."

"..." he didn't answer but he was following me.

" I think she was the one who creates the sound awhile ago but since she runs away, go investigates her."

"Yes, I assumed that she was still there when we approached awhile ago before we got in the Inn and we can still catch her up but I am not really sure if she's there since the window is open that I think that it is the thief or not."

"What!??! Why did you not catch her?!"

"Well, your highness I am not sure if she is or a thief so I didn't give attention since he/she may be a thief and the safety of the miss comes first." Sometimes, I don't know if he was sincere or what. I can't predict him and it is tough to be friends with him.

"Y-yes~~ but still you should tell me in advance," I said as I looked at him annoyed because he didn't tell me earlier.

"Yes, your highness." He answered with a bored tone.

"Then don't forget to investigate her tomorrow," I said since what's done is done.

"Yes, Your highness but why do you want to look for her?" He said as he looked at me.

"Aren't you curious about her, are you?" I said as I smirk since I know he was also interested since he secretly looking at her.

"Well, I am a bit curious about her skills and how the way she fought." He said with a straight face.

"Hey, she is a still lady Ian. Don't even think that you want to have sparred with her." He was silently looked at me.

"But you also saw how she fights those dudes, it looks like her skills are not just normal." He said, and he has a point since when we came after them she finishes them off.

"Yeah, I noticed that too. It is indeed that it is not really ordinary." I said while my one hand is in my chin.

"Which means she is not just a Lady but maybe a Knight" He guessed as he is making a serious expression.

"Then start looking for the Houses that have female knights," I said since I want to know about her since she is strong.

"Yes, your highness." He answered.

Just wait for me Miss Yesha, I am going to make you mine. You are absolutely useful to me. Hmm~~

I immediately went to sleep the moment I was on my bed. I woke up with the knocks and got out of bed to open the door. It was Lady Miary's maid and she said to go to the Duke's office. I just nodded and I quick wash on my face before I go to report yesterday's event. I knocked before I enter and I saw the smiling face of Lady Miary and the poker face of the Duke while busy signing papers as usual.

"Good morning, Duke Collins and Lady Miary." I greeted them and Lady Miary greeted me back while the Duke nodded, I came to give the reports yesterday. He thanked me and looked at the reports.

"Good work, Avy." he said after he lowered the document I gave him.

"It's my duty, your Grace." He just smiled at me which is not normal for him to smile like that. That's why I also wonder about Lady Miary who until now has had a big smile while sitting in the sofa as if she was possessed.

"I received good compliments from the Crown Prince about you Avy and he asked me if you can join him the hunting next month," he said that's why I couldn't answer right away because I was avoiding the Crown Prince especially since his cousin was in the palace.

"I am grateful for that, Your Grace but if Lady Miary has nothing to do on that day then I will join him," I answered since I can't reject such an invitation from the next in line of the Emperor.

"Miary do you have something to do next month?" he asked Lady Miary but she seemed to hear nothing because she was staring at the wall since I got in the room.

"....''

"Miary!" He called his daughter who is acting weird since she came in.

"Oh yes? you called me, Father?" she replied while humming.

"I've said if do you have something to do next month?" the Duke asked his daughter again.

"Hmm~ I have one but I am still thinking if I'm going to attend or not. Why?" Now I am sure Lady Miary is not her usual self.

"Then, can you lend Avy or I should say give him a permission to join the Crown Prince next month for the hunting," Duke asks his daughter while looking at her puzzled since she was acting strange from the usual?

"Yeah, sure. hmm ♪♪♪☺" I expected her to refuse but I was shocked by her answer while humming and really not herself.

"Then, It's settled Avy. You will be accompanying his Highness to hunt. You have already the permission of Miary."

"Yes your Grace. I will take this opportunity to be useful to his highness." I said without a choice but to agree whether I like it or not. I don't want to decline since the Duke is also oddly smiling like her daughter. I don't know what the reason why she is not herself and the Duke just smiled at me but when I think about yesterday's festival is nothing special happened but an unfortunate event for me?? although yeah I did manage to watch the lantern, however, I run to Lady Miary, the Crown Prince and Ian.

"You can go Avy and take her with you because I have many things to do." He said as he looks at his daughter who is dreaming since she was smiling even though no one is in front of her.

"Yes, Your Grace. Lady Miary let's go." I said, and she didn't respond that's why I just pulled her because she seemed to hear nothing and we went out.

I faced Lady Miary but she just smiled as if I was not in front of her. I waved my hands in her face but still did not respond so I squeezed her cheeks before she reacted and looked at me badly.

"Hey, what was that for?! It hurts you know," she said while holding both cheeks that it's lightly pink because of my pinch.

"Haha, you're cute," I said unknowingly and she looked at me.

"What!?" She said in surprise.

"Nothing," I said as I look away.

"Really?~" she teasing me so I pinch her nose this time.

"Hey, not my nose Avy!." she said as she removed my hands squeezing on her nose. I let go when she was about to punch me and walked away from her a little because it was painful for me to get punched or kicked.

"Well, why are you smiling like an i***t, and you even out of yourself?" I said as I looked at her puzzled since I don't know if she's acting cute or what.

"Well, *Smiling again with her eyes like stars* I met a wonderful lady yesterday." She said while both hands like she's praying position. Yeah and that lady is me.¬_¬

"Then, who is this lady you are talking about?" I asked, pretending I was interested in knowing who.

"Her name is Yesha and she was so cool." Yeah keep praising me Lady Miary it makes me happy (￣︶￣*)) but I didn't show my expression that I was happy for that compliments.

"Is that the reason why are you so happy?" I ask her as I raise my brows while looking at her.

"Yes because she saved me when I am trying to save her but I didn't know that she knows how to fight." She said while she is smiling so widely.

"Is that so, then she is really a cool Lady," I said while controlling myself to smile because of her compliments.

"I know right but hey, Why do I feel that it's like, you know her? You're agreeing with me so easily when in the fact you keep saying another way around?" She said as she looks at me suspiciously.

"Well, I admire a lady who knows how to fight and know to protect themselves," I said as I looked away from her since she is staring at me.

"Then, you also admire me?" She said so I hesitate to answer so she glared at me when I didn't answer her.

"Y-yes~" I answer forcefully since she was about to kick me.

"That's why I want her friend so I ask my father to look for her." She said.

"Yeah, that's a good ide--- what?!" I unconsciously shouted when I realized what she said because I thought I would hear compliments and this is also one of the reasons why Duke sent her with me away because she was tired of her story earlier.

"Why do you have to shout! I am just here you know."

" I am sorry, Lady Miary but why would you like to have her as a friend?"

"Because she's cool and so that I can sparring with he--- hey why did you shout at me? Did you not want me to have a girlfriend?!"

"I-it's not that, Lady Miary. It's just that you just met her yesterday, right?"

"Yes and so what if I just met her yesterday?"

"I just find it odd because you don't really get along with the other ladies and you don't know her Lady Miary."

"Well, the Ladies I met want to befriend me because I am the Duke's daughter and each of one wants to have a good relationship with us," she answered, and she has a point but still it's so fast that she considers her as a friend.

"Stop it, Avy. I want to be her friend whether you like it or not." She stopped me from arguing with her.

"Fine, I won't stop you." I just answered because she is unlikely to find the person she wants to be friends with since I am already here in front of her but I can't say because it would be pointless that I've been disguising myself for years.
