"Where is he?! Why does only a horse come back?" Lady Miary asks me while controlling herself not to grab my collar.

"I don't know but I am sure that he runs first before me," I said to her.

"I'm going to look for him!" She said but then her maid said 'no'.

"Don't go! It's dangerous Lady Miary!" I said to her since she insists to look for Avy when the magic cast in the forest was already gone.

"Then, should I just wait for him if we already know how dangerous in the forest when the magic cast on the forest was gone?!"

" I'll go look for him" We turned to the person who said that and it was Ian whom we expect less to act carelessly as Ronan stopped him to ride his horse.

"It's too dangerous, Ian," Ronan said to Ian as he holds him not to ride.

"Dangerous?! How about him?! We cannot let him die there?!" Ian shouted with his worried face as he clenched his fist. It's my first time to witness Ian's so angry.

"I agree. Let's go, Ian." Lady Miary calls Ian, and they prepare their horses but I stopped them to calm down.

"Calm down the both of you. Avy is not the person who will die easily so don't act recklessly. This is an order." I said so they have no choice but to listen. I am also worried about him since I was with him but I need to act rationally.

"Yes, I know but I can't help to worry." Lady Miary said as she calms down a bit while Ian is quiet when I look at him before he let go of his horse's leash.

"Fine, let's look for him tomorrow." He said as he left us, and we go back to our tents. 

"Your Highness, you should rest for now. We can look for him tomorrow." Ronan told me as he taps my shoulder before he left me. I didn't answer him as I go back to my tent, and I was questioned by Kerz and Dravis if I wasn't really with Avy. They said to me to look for him now but I refuse since it is already night and it is very dangerous to look for him especially when the barrier is removed to control the strength of the magical animals in the forest especially it is a full moon.

"But your Highness--" 

"No is a no Kerz. Don't make me repeat it," I told Kerz as Dravis calm him down before I went into my tent. 

I lay down on my bed and massage my forehead where Avy was even though I told them that he will not die easily but I can't stop worrying about him. I can't sleep because of it so I went outside and I didn't expect that it was already midnight. I went to the entrance to see Avy in case he was really late. I saw someone in front and it was Ian facing the forest so I approached and he didn't notice me.

"You can't sleep?" I said so he looks in my way.

"Your Highness, I am sorry a while ago. I lost my patience." He said as he looks forward again.

"It's okay, Ian. I feel the same but I need to be calm since I don't want to let my subordinates be endangered." I said.

"Your Highness, you did the right thing but I hope he is safe somewhere in there." He said as he smiles a little bit but also immediately disappeared.

"I agree but knowing him, he is definitely hiding in a safe place," I said to assure him since he looks so worried that is new to me since he always has a stern face every now and then.

"I really hope-- wait something is coming out from the forest!" He said so I looked there.

"I-is that the magical beast in the magical tree?" I ask him since it was glowing ash with light blue highlights on it. 

"Yes, it was and it looks like something on his back-- It's Avy!" He said and it was Avy on its back who is unconscious since he is not riding it when it approached us.

"Avy! Are you okay?!" said Ian as we approached but the wolf immediately pulled away from us as it growls.

"Avy!," I called him since he seems to be unconscious.

We tried to get Avy but the wolf seems don't trust us since he doesn't want us to get near them. We can't do anything since it produces mana around him so we are calling him.

"-vy! Avy wake up!" someone is calling me.

"Avy!" it's getting louder but what I feel the most is the pain in my body.

They keep on calling me so I slowly opened my eyes and blink for how many times before I saw Prince Renz and Ian calling me. I tried to get up when I notice that I was holding a fur so I looked and I was surprised that it was the magical beast wolf in the magical tree. I fell because I was surprised that I was riding a wolf. 

"How did this happen?" I ask myself as I look at the wolf who is looking at me. I can't believe that it saves me from the bear. I can’t quite remember what happened to me after I was blown away from the impact. I turned to someone who called me and it was only then that I again noticed Ian and Prince Renz calling me.

"Avy, are you okay?" Ian asks me as he was trying to help me since I can't stand up but the wolf didn't let him come near me.

"Avy make the wolf calm since it is protecting you." Prince Renz told me so I looked at him because I did not know-how.

"How?" I said since I didn't even know why does it helps me and even brought me here.

"Just try to talk to it," Renz answered me as Ian agreed but I didn't know how so I hesitate to tell the wolf.

"It's okay, they are friends," I said as I reach the wolf's head and it calmed down as if he understood what I was saying because it gradually returned to its original form.

After that, Ian immediately helps me to stand up since I sprained my right foot and Prince Renz calls a physician while the baby wolf just following us.

Ian brought me to his tent when I told him that it is better for me to go with Prince Renz or Lady Miary but he said that it is risky since they might discover my identity so I agreed. We just ran away from Prince Renz earlier while he was calling the doctor. Ian immediately brings out the first aid kit to be used on my wounds. He helps me remove my clothes as he looks away and give me new clothes before he cleans my wounds in my arms and feet.

"Ian why did you not wait for me and the physician to come?!" Prince Renz said as he walks into the tent so we looked at him as he suddenly entered.

"It's not that serious, your Highness," Ian calmly said but the Prince looks unsatisfied.

"Go check him," He said to the physician.

"I'm okay, your Highness. It's just a small scratch." I answered him so that he will let the physician go back.

"No, we need to check your injuries since I was with you so at least I should do this," He said. I understand him but I can't discover here.

"It's alright, your Highness since Ian take care of my wounds," I said to him with assuring smile so sighed.

"Okay but let him look at your condition," he said as he commanded the physician, and I look at Ian as he nodded.

The doctor approached me and looked at my wounds and said that it was well but why did I look pale. He tried to check my pulse but Ian holds his hands before it reaches me.

"Let me just check his pulse," He said calmly since Ian is glaring at him so Prince Renz that it's okay since the baby wolf began to emit mana around it. 

"But your Highness, his condition is not really good." The physician answered his Highness.

"But you will lose your life if you insist. Is it not really good?" He said as he pointed to the baby wolf and asks him about my condition. He was surprised by what he saw so he just shakes his head.

"He just needs to have enough rest and eat nutritious food for him to gain his energy and blood loss." He said as he stood up and said goodbye to us.

" Avy, I'll just ask you tomorrow so rest well," He said.

"Yes, your Highness," I said as he goes out after hearing my response, and Ian accompanies him outside. I looked at the baby wolf who was now sleeping on my thigh. I began touching him because of the softness of his fur and it did not move.

"Why did you save me?" I ask it and of course, it didn't respond to me.

"Whatever your reason is for saving me, I am thankful so Thank you," I said as I continue stroking its fur and suddenly its tail is waving again like when we were in the magical tree.

*chuckled*

"You're so cute," I said while smiling.

"Avy, you should rest now," Ian said to me when he just entered.

"How about you, Ian? Where will you sleep when I am using your bed," I said since his bed is only for one person.

"It's alright. I'll just sit here so go to sleep already," He said as he helps lay down since I am sitting while the baby wolf is being wary of him when he helps me so I hold it to calm down.

"Woah, it is really like a bodyguard?" He said so I laughed at his reaction because a mixture of amusement and nervousness could be seen on his face.

"Yeah, I don't know why it is sticking with me, and do not want to go back to the forest," I said.

"We'll talk tomorrow, okay?" He said,

"Okay, Good night," I said as I close my eyes and sleep.

Ian's Point of View:

"Okay, Good night," He said and drift to sleep. I was worried about her when she was not with the Prince and I can't control myself, especially that she was the only one left important to me when I found out what happened to Lady Layla a year ago. I didn't get any reply from there for 2 years so I was worried and I sent one of my men but they say that the restaurant was closed for about 2 years and they say that the people there moved out. They leave without any clues so my men ask for information but then no one wants to talk about it or I should say it seems like they are scared to talk about it. 

"How could I tell you the truth?" I said to Avy who is sleeping peacefully. I watched her because she grows up a little that I even had a hard time recognizing her apart from the changes of the color of her hair since her hair was light brown but now it is dark hazel brown and her eyes back then were brown but now is light brown. I was thinking if she has long hair with her original hair color and eyes which is black but thinking what Liz told us to hide it but there is more that she didn't tell Avy. Liz told me to hide it until she was 18 and I think of it she was 15 years old now but she registers herself as 16 years old.

I let go of Avy's head because I feel that the baby wolf is glaring at me. The wolf is really like a bodyguard of Avy since it doesn't want us to near her when we see them coming from the forest even the Crown Prince can't do anything about it.

"Alright, I won't touch her," I said to the wolf as I raise up my hands so it calms down as it sleeps beside Avy. 

I stood up and went to sleep on the sofa since we need to wake up early tomorrow for the Awarding Ceremony.

I wake up because I can't breathe when I found out the baby wolf was in my chest sleeping soundly so I slowly put it on my side since I feel like suffocating with my bandages and the wolf sleeping in my chest. I unconsciously remove the bandages before I remember that I was not in my own room but thankfully it was Ian is here and he is sleeping on the sofa.

When I look at my bandages there was a bloodstain so I touch it and find out I have wounds, so I groan because of the pain. We did not notice because I still had a shirt when I changed and we thought it was just stained with blood. I stood up and get the first aid kit to tend my wound even though I don't want to be treated right here but I have no choice so I turned my back on Ian.

"Ouch," I said when I slowly put the cotton with disinfectant on my wounds. I immediately turned to Ian to check him since he might wake up because of me, and fortunately, he didn't wake up and just move that it turned his back on me so I control not making noise.
