Aria's Pov
Slowly, Rico’s expression became a bit more serious. “What happened?” he questioned.
“You collapsed,” I said simply.
“I know that part.”
His answer made me laugh. “Your doctor said it’s fever and exhaustion. You’ve been out almost twelve hours.”
He leaned his head back, exhaling slowly. “Damn.”
“Yeah, damn.” I picked up the bowl and stirred it with the spoon. “Here, try to eat.” He looked at me sternly and I added, “It’s not poisoned, I promise.” which resulted in a faint smile.
“Wow, he knows how to smile.” I said between laughter and his smile widened but he didn’t say a word. His brows lifted slightly but he opened his mouth when I lifted the spoon. He didn’t take much, just a small sip and then he winced a little, swallowed and nodded.
“It’s good,” he muttered.
