Chapter 6
Lance POV
It’s already dark when we arrive at my house, I laid her on the bed because she fell asleep on our journey. Shaniya is just a year-old child but why did her parents leave her in the park.? They are an irresponsible parent, why they neglected this beautiful angel beside me. Being called as Papa, it gives me a heart-warming feeling. I caress her hair and I smiled… I’ll do anything just to protect you little angel you’re a blessing to me, to ease the pain and longingness of my missing brother, how I wish that he is here because I know he will be happy that you came to us. I got up and go the kitchen to cook something to my daughter… daughter? It sounds good… I continue to find a dish that I will cook to her. since I have a chicken here in my little refrigerator I took it and sliced it, after that I made her one of my favorite food and that is Adobo… I cooked also a rice… after I’ve finished cooking I go back to my room and I’d tried to wake her up…
“hey princess wake-up its time for dinner” I softly said it to her
“hmmm… yes papa.” She said while rubbing her eyes.
“okay… come here to papa” I said to her
“where are we papa?” she said
“we are here at my home.” I said to her while smiling, she so cute
“really!? I want to be here forever papa.” She happily said to me… she’s energetic again after she got sleep.
“okay… come on were going to eat.” I said to her. we go to the kitchen and I sat her on the chair and give her a plate then rice and my specialty. While were eating she keeps on talking and for the first time of my life after the deaths and missing of my brother I’ve become happy without hesitation because of this girl right now here in my house. I need to let Liam know about Shaniya that I’m willing to adapt her no matter what. After we done eating we go to sleep and I need to buy tomorrow the clothes of Shaniya because she doesn’t have any extra clothes right now… so I close my eyes and I said good night to Shaniya and kissed her head…
“good night Princess” I said to him
“good night also papa.” She said and she fall asleep easily.
In the next morning I woke up and do my morning routines, then I go to kitchen to cook on something for the breakfast. I texted Liam that I can’t go to work right now because I need to buy clothes for Shaniya… and he called me right away and ask me many more questions but I only said to him that he needs to come to my house and he will be the guardian for Shaniya while I’m on the mall buying her clothes… I cooked egg and hotdog and also, I made milk for her… when I’m done cooking I take a bath and waited for Liam to come and after a couple of minutes he arrived.
“where’s the kid?” he said to me without a good morning
“she still sleeping… really? No good morning.” I said to him sarcastically
“oh! Good morning… haha...” he said and laugh… tsk! This man is really on something.
“can you take care of her for a while, I will buy her clothes because she doesn’t have clothes to change…” I said to him
“are you really sure about this.?” He asked me
“yeah, I’m sure I don’t want her to feel the pain that I feel before.” I said to him… when suddenly I heard an angelic voice…
“papa… where are you?” she said
“I’m here princess come here, I want to meet you your uncle.” I said to her
“uncle?” she said
“yeah, come here and she come with me… princess this is your Uncle Liam and he will be the one who will take care of you while I’m buying you clothes okay… behave while your uncle is here…” I said to her.
“yes papa… hi uncle!” she said
“hello little girl.” Liam said…
“okay let’s eat first before I go” I said to them… we go to the kitchen and eat our breakfast and after that I leave the house and go to the mall… I borrowed Liam’s car… I now how to drive because Liam teach me how to drive. When I arrive at the mall I parked the car and enter… I go to the kid section clothes… I choose different kinds of clothes for Shaniya and after I go the shoes section and suddenly I got bumped to an unknown person and never see his face… and when I looked on the ground there is a crumpled paper and I pick it then opened it… my face gets scared and afraid because the letter says is “your time is near” who the hell is that man… I hurriedly go back to the parking lot… before I can get in I saw the man who bumped and he smirked at me creepily. I leave the mall immediately and until I leave the mall my hands are trembling because of what happened earlier… who are they? Why did they give this kind of treat? When I got home i hurriedly run towards my apartment… when I opened the door there is Liam and Shaniya happily playing each other and the reason why I forgot the fears that I feel in the past moment… I need to tell Liam from this, about the man who give the paper to me…
“papa!!! Your here!!!” said Shaniya while running towards me.
“slow down Shaniya…” I said to her… when I looked at Liam he and silently shout what happened and I point my fingers to the kitchen and he go…
“Shaniya you stay here first okay… I just want to talk to your uncle Liam okay…” I said to her
“yes papa…” and she play the toys that I buy her… while me I go to the kitchen and I give him the paper that the man gives to me and he got shock and he asked what happened.
“what happened? Why did you get this letter?” he asked me
“someone bumped me and it’s a man and he throw the paper to me and then when I pick it and read I got shock of what is the message is all about of that crumpled paper.” I said to him
“okay I will take this and give it to the person that I know who can help us who can find who is it… okay don’t be scared” he said to me
“I’m not scared for myself… I’m scared of Shaniya…can I bring her when I go to work?” I said to him
“she can’t but I will ask aunt Nimfa to accompany her here in your apartment.” He said to me
“oh god thank you for that Liam.” I said to him…
“no problem… I’m your best friend I ‘ll always by your side no matter what…and by the way I have to go I have something to do, tomorrow morning I’ll send aunt to come here and you can go to work” He said to me…
“okay… take care” I said to him… and I led him out of the door of my apartment.
“be safe Lance… call me when you need anything.” He said to me and he leave my apartment. That night I can’t sleep because of what happened earlier in the mall. I hope we can be safe.
Someone POV
Lance, Lance… you can’t get away from me… I know someday we will meet in person… just wait before no one will on your side… I know there’s a person who save you in that mall secretly… I know that he’s not an ordinary man… let see Lance, you will also be in my hands soon… I know where your brother is and I know who killed your parents… who said that they killed just by walking in the street… tsk! Tsk!... what an i***t Lance… be careful of who you trust for…
Xander POV
I suddenly got up in the chair here in our hideout, when the person whom I assigned to guard Lance reported me that Lance got a threat letter from an unknown person… who the hell is that person? I get my phone from my pocket and called Liam…
“Liam, Lance got a threat letter from unknown person, I want you to be in the hideout right away no more but.” I said and hung up the phone… I seated back in my chair when Kalen and Clint enter from the living room.
“hey, man what’s up.?” He said
“nothing.” I said to him
“but the way you look, you’re not at ease.” He said. I smirk with the idea that came up into my mind right now, since Liam is near to the door so I signal him to stop, since Kalen is facing me and I shut up Clint for speaking because he saw Liam in the door.
“do you know the man in the coffee shop that your crush owned by.?” I said to him and I see the reaction of Liam…(smirk)
“yeah, what about him? Are you hitting on him? That why you talk to him in the other day.” He said while pointing at me.
“no. I just know Prince before you.” I said to him
“then.?” He said while glaring at me
“the waiter who has a beautiful face.” I said to him
“oh! I know him Lance is his name… why do about him?” I said to him
“I like him.” I said seriously to his eyes and…
“WHATTT!!!” Clint, Kalen and Liam…
“yes, I like him… period.” I said to them and suddenly Liam talked
“what will I do Xander.” He said and sit on the sofa… when
“what are doing here.?” Kalen aid while his ear is so red, maybe he remembers of what he said earlier. And I smirk
“of course, I came here for work, what else should I came here for?” he said to Kalen with a smirk…
“you!!!” Kalen said and hurriedly go to the kitchen while Clint is going crazy because he keeps on laughing.
“about Lance threat letter from unknown person… my bodyguard whom I assigned to watch out Lance and my bodyguard lure him in any direction so that he can’t follow Lance to his apartment.” I said to him
“so that’s the reason why no one followed him on the way home… and he give me this letter… do you familiar with the penmanship of this letter.?” He said to me and he gave me the letter and I got shock… of what I saw… no way it is not true right?
“Is this true? Because if it is…” I said to him and he cut me off
“you’re not going to help him anymore if it is true.?” He said to me
“I’m going to help him of course… its just that I’ve never expected it… why him?” I said to Liam
“me also, but that’s life… we don’t what the truth behind it… maybe he is the reason of everything.” He said to me in a meaningful way.
“I know him also.” Said Clint that make me shock… because he got serious when he saw the paper
“what?!!!” Liam said
“he’s my ex- lover way back.” He said that made us shock even Kalen who’s silent in the corner of the sofa.
“how we didn’t know?” Liam said
“because he is a secretive person… he’s different in front of others… even me he is different when it comes between us…” he said to us.
“so, the person that we know is not really who he is.” Liam said. And what makes me totally shock and confused is
“then, what is his motive to kill Lance.? Did they know each other or only that person knows Lance and Lance didn’t.” said Kalen?... we keep silent in 10 minutes straight and thinking of what we have known right now.
“maybe he knows where Lance brother is.” Said Liam
“what.!!? He had a brother.” I said to him, I’m shock with this revelation right now…
“yes, he had… but he was gone for more than 10 years and I’m secretly finding his brother but I can’t find him.” He said in a long silence I’ve been thinking and…
“I will help to find his brother.” I said to Liam
“me also, I’ll help” Kalen said

I’m going to find your little brother… I promise… we part ways and decided to have some refreshments about what happened right know… we will discuss it after… I hope its not you even though were enemy’s way back but its only for teasing each other… you’re to innocent to do that things…
