Chapter 8
Lance POV
It’s Tuesday in the morning and I will go to work today… Liam texted me to come early in the office today because he wants to tell me something important. So, I prepared the things that I will bring, including the belongings of Shaniya, aunt Nimfa want Shaniya in the house of Liam so I will bring her to the coffee shop because aunt is waiting there to get Shaniya. Aunt Nimfa is a big help for me since she is the one who taking care of my daughter. When I’m done preparing it I called my daughter that were going to live. This past few months I’ve never received a letter just like what happened in the first time I received it, we ride a cab to go the coffee shop. When we get there, Liam and Aunt Nimfa they are there early in the morning. So, we get inside the coffee shop and greeted them a good morning. I’ say goodbye to Shaniya when they were about leave. I kissed her checks I wave my hands to say goodbye to her, when they’re gone Liam called me into his office… I didn’t have an idea what he will talk to me and I’m nervous about that. I entered to his office and sit to the chair next to his office table.
“what are you going to say to me.?” I asked him
“Shaniya saw a man who is always observing you where you live.” He said to and I got stunned I thought it disappear but unfortunately, I’m secretly observed by that person, what did he wants from me.
“yes, Xander told me about that yesterday, because Shaniya don’t want to scared you again. Your daughter is a smart kid even she’s only a 3-year-old child she knows what is happening with your surrounding and Aunt Nimfa confess to me this early in the morning that there was always a letter which always remained in front of your door and she pick it up and read and it’s always the threat that you receive in this past few months.” He said to me… what my daughter knows but why did she didn’t scare of what she saw?
“but why she didn’t scare.?” I asked him
“because she doesn’t want to make you feel nervous… so I suggest we live in the same house.” He said
“what?... live in the same house? How about my house?” I asked him
“it’s okay I will manage it… I just want only to sure the safety of the both of you.” he said to me
“but… were we going to live.? In your house.?” I asked him
“no, not in my house but… but in the house of Xander we will going to live.” He said and I got shock about what he told me.
“WHATTT.!!!’’ I said to him
“yes, me, Kalen, Clint, Xander, Shaniya and you, also Aunt Nimfa will join us to take care of Shaniya when were going to work here in the coffee shop.
“but… “I said to him but he suddenly cut me off
“listen to me Lance we need to know the safety of your daughter and you.” he said to me
“I will think of it first, before deciding on leaving with them.” I said to him, I need to think of it first if it’s okay, what the hell is happening to us right now I didn’t know what to do… I need the safety for my daughter.
“and by the way only Miguel will stay here in the coffee shop because the others I will put them to our other branches of the coffee shop.” He said
“why?” I said to him
“because there is someone who going to change them and they will come here in a couple of minutes because they need the permission of their parents or else they will be dead.” He said while smiling
“oh! Really? But why Miguel is the only one who left here.?” I asked him because I’m so uncomfortable with Miguel presence here in the coffee shop and I don’t know what is it, it just that the way he acts is so weird.
“because he said that his parents didn’t want him to go far away so I decided to stay him here in the coffee shop.” He explained me about why Miguel stay here. After a couple of minutes, it’s time to open the coffee shop so we opened it and cleaned the table… when the time is 8:00 am in the morning Miguel came and he greeted me and Liam with a smile and the feeling is so weird.
“morning boss and Lance.” He said to us with a smile
“morning also.” Liam said
“morning.” I said to him with a smile. But in inside of my heart its creepy to smile him like that. And we procced to our work… when the door of the coffee shop opened and there are three boys who get inside of the coffee shop no other than Clint, Kalen and Blake.
“good morning everyone.” Said Kalen
“good morning too… why so early to go here in the coffee shop.?” I asked them
“we came here to work… and it is our first day.” Said Clint that made me shock, because why these three rich boys need to work since they have their own company.
“is it a prank Kalen?” I asked him if it is a prank or not
“yes, it is true, try to ask Liam.” He said
“yes, it’s true they want to cover up their boredom that why they apply here… I didn’t agree it first but their father called me to accept them so that they can have a worth to live.” He said to me
“oh! Then what are you waiting for change your clothes and start helping me to work because later the customers will be coming.” I said to them and they go too the changing room. When I looked at Miguel he is looking at Blake with an angry looked and I turned away… why he is angry to Blake? There is something that Miguel hiding from us and I will know it.
Xander POV
Today is our first day of work in the coffee shop of Liam, and I’m excited because I got chance to work with Lance and the chance to protect him from the people who were trying to harm him. I called my dad about the planned that I suggested to them to work in the coffee shop of Liam and he agreed. I wonder why dad agreed suddenly, I just shrug my shoulder and starting to do my morning routines and after that I eat my breakfast then I got m keys of my motorbike and ride it to my destination starting for today. When I got there Clint and Kalen is also there so we are all together to get inside the coffee shop and I saw Liam and Lance talking. And Kalen greeted them, Lance was so shock of what he heard. We change our clothes for the work later and after that we came out from the changing and Lim called us to discussed what will we do when the customers will come. The coffee shop is near the from university and mostly students and teacher are the customers here. And when the customers came we become busy and I’ll always looked at Lance when someone approaches him and I got jealous every time there are a boy who ask for his number and I’m so irritated of the girls who keep on asking my number also.
“Lance is tired.?” I asked him when he get near me
“yes, I’m fine it’s just that, those kids are so naughty of asking of my number.” He said
“do you want me to talk to them.” I said to him
“no thanks… I can handle it.” he said
“you sure.” I said to him
“yeah I’m sure…” he said. Ever since we got close we’ve become comfortable for each other and I’m starting too love him
“just call me when they disturbed you again,” I said to him
“yes, I will… thanks by the way.” He said and get the order and give it to them. I’m here near the counter I’m the one who get the order and they are the one who delivered the order to the customer. We were doing our job smoothly. When its time for our lunch break, we eat in the kitchen for the workers here, while were eating I asked Lance if he agree what Liam said to him to live with us.
“do you agree what Liam said to you?” I asked him
“I’m going to think of it first.” He answered me
“okay but don’t think too much long.” I said to him
“yeah, I will not put my daughter in danger, maybe later have an answer of your questions.” He said
“don’t worry were going to protect you.” I said to him
“I’m thankful that you are all here helping me, I don’t what I’m going to do when I’m all alone.” He said to me
“you’re not alone anymore, I promise I’ll protect you and helped you to find your brother.” I said to him
“thank you, Blake.” He said to me with a smile.
“you’re always welcome.” I said to him… I’m sorry Lance if I can’t tell you who really am I, I know soon you’ll know it and well get angry me. I hope you can forgive for that.
Kalen POV
Even were doing our job here, were observing the people who came and out of this coffee shop and also, I secretly watching Liam in his opened office. I like him but I’m afraid that he’ll reject me. I do my job and I just realize that it’s enjoying to this job than to do nothing.
“hey bro, can you give it to table 4.” Said Xander who also enjoying this job. And ever since he knew Lance he became the old himself again and I know that he totally moves on because I saw him smile again the it used to be. I hop it will not fade away the smile that he has right now.
“okay… and stop staring to Lance bro… focus on your work.” I said to him teasingly because I caught him looking to Lance… he looks like a whipped boyfriend… seems like he is not the leader of the gang who everyone is afraid of…
“seems like you didn’t also look to Liam.” He said to me and I got blushed
“shut up!” I said to him
“oh, Kalen was blushing can I tell it to Liam.” He said
“shut up!” and I get the order and live him laughing a little bit. He really changes and its good. I give the order to table number 4 and leave after I give it to him. When I go back to my place I saw one of the employees of Liam looking to Lance and I feel like there’s something exciting happen in our job here in the coffee shop. But I feel weird of his actions towards Lance and Blake, there something also that I can’t figure it out what would it be… I need to be cautious for this man, I need to say it to Clint who is busy entertaining the customer and the coffee shop got a lot of customers because there’s a handsome worker here in Liam coffee shop. And I looked at him then suddenly he looked towards me and give me a glare look. Sh*t!!! he really cute, soon I’ll make you mine.
Someone POV
If I can’t the chance to hurt you, why can I hurt the people behind you especially this little girl that your care right now. I want to see how you will get hurt while seeing her hurting. Then suddenly phone ring
“hello.” I said on the phone
“boss we are here now on the house of were the child is. Were ready to kidnap her.” he said
“okay make sure that you’re going to get her” I said to him
“yes boss.” He said to me… and I hung the phone… the time has come Lance… and I drink my wine.
