The interrogation room was cold. Adam sat on the other side of the glass, watching Miller question Silas Kane. The old man looked smaller now—shoulder bandaged, face pale, hands cuffed to the table. His eyes, though, were still sharp. Still calculating. “You've been hiding for a long time, Silas,” Miller said. “Why come out now?” “I wasn't hiding.
