Before Mick jumped into the shower, Rose called, “I'm stuck at work. I won't be home til about eight.”
“That's fine, I'll pick up some Chinese.”
“Not again, be a little more creative, surprise me.”
Smiling to himself, “I'll do that.” Waiting until almost eight, he stopped at a local bakery for a cake and then headed for the Root Beer Stand and ordered two hamburgers loaded, two large orders of fries and two large root beers. Arriving at half past eight, he found Rose coming out of the shower.
“Get dressed, if you must, the food is getting cold,” Mick shouted.
Coming into the kitchen with a large towel wrapped around, “How is this?”
Studying her from head to toe, “A little over dressed.”
Running off, “Funny man, give me two.”
