Elissa stared at him blankly. Regret? There was no way she would regret her decision back then. She would not tolerate him cheating on her. Even if he was the richest man in the world. Money couldn’t buy her peace of mind and her heart.
“No, I just realized that you didn’t trust me before,” she said.
Alejandro chuckled. As if he found something funny.
“And I was right for not trusting you, right, Elissa?” He asked her.
She swallowed hard. Maybe he thought that he was right because money was the reason she told him before. The reason she gave him for divorcing him.
“Right…” she said and nodded.
