Chapter 22 Olinda, present day I came back out of my memories not knowing how much time had passed. Not much from the look of the room. Orlando Pike remained squatting only a few feet away, his eyes on my face. Drac was still gibbering to himself in the corner, wings over his head. I tried lifting my hand. It didn’t move. The way Drac twitched and muttered, it looked like he was still unaffected by the nanoweb device Pike was using on my brain. “You really wanted off Seabrook, didn’t you?” Pike asked. My mouth unlocked. With it, my senses cleared up. To my scent-sight Pike was a glowing, crackling cloud of bluish ozone, pouring off his head in pulses.
