Pike’s Fortress, Olinda
It looked like we’d reached a dead end. Drac hissed his annoyance, his head bobbing as he looked for another way out of this passage.
I’d paid for the plans to Pike’s fortress, at considerable cost. When I’d studied this passage, it had looked like it continued straight on into the fortress, with other passages branching off to the lower levels.
I pulled the plans up on my tablet.
“Which way?” Drac asked.
“I’m checking!”
Did the plans just show the narrow pipe in front of us? No, they clearly showed the passage. That’s when I noticed the faint line on the plans. I zoomed in on that section. At full magnification, I saw the reason.
