This book and the one that follows makes up the ‘Past’ duology. Writing these books gave me the chance to explore much more of Brock’s past. They also gave me a chance to bring other characters to the foreground. I loved having an opportunity to spend time with Muriel, Dyami, Drac, and Helen Shaw.
I’ve especially enjoyed the opportunity to go back over this book to create this new edition. I know some writers who don’t like to look at their older work. I’m not in that camp.
