Enhancer’s Colony
Tabitha bared my neck like she meant to slit it. My Euzebian neck slits automatically opened as I inhaled. I didn’t get any stink of malice from her, and I restrained myself from striking back.
“Good.” Her breath filled my scent-sight, making her brighten as she moved directly behind me, still holding my hair. “Don’t move. This might get ticklish.”
She ran her fingers of her other hand through my hair, making plucking and twisting motions. My scalp tingled. I hadn’t expected a massage, then sharp pain!
I almost moved. If I hadn’t been able to see Tabitha in my scent-sight, to smell her raspberry concern, I might have moved. I might have jerked away.
