Lila's POV
I was just about to head home when the dorm head told me I had the day off. A new cleaner had started, so they didn't need me tonight. Part of me felt a little sad - I wouldn't get to see Jax, Theo, or Miles - but at least I could go home early and rest.
I had the thick envelope from Jax safely tucked in my bag, and that made me feel a bit lighter. Mom's hospital bills could finally be paid without waiting.
