Episode Twenty-eight

BELLAMY Unfortunately, the future is hidden from my eyes. But not his. And sometimes a man needs strength to attend to the warning of another. I am not one to pry away from omens though if things do not end well for me, I might perhaps learn the reason. I searched his face for some retorts yet it wasn't as loose as that of our previous encounter. "By any chance, you do return, you won't make it back to your dwelling alive" I wasn't sure how I was taking in his bizarre decrees but somehow I contrived, raising the one question that I knew so well. "How did you come to know this?" "I had before brought to light who I am" He responded "Perhaps you believe not" "I believe you" The words had escaped my lips without actually learning what they portray, I might have truly believed him, or perhaps I was afraid of the joy my regret would use in tearing me down. "It is not just your death I see, but what your death would unleash. An agony beyond anything to have ever known" "Why tell me?" "You're a good man, Bellamy. The world would bleed losing a being such as you to the cruel hand of a prophecy. You play much more part in the prophecy than you thought" ALISDAIR My thoughts have been clouded by what her response would come off to be, though a part of me enormously believes she would desire to be by my side, yet, I can't quell this belief of her declining. I tried not to turn when I felt Aadya’s presence behind me until she began to draw nearer. "Is something amiss?" "No. Not quite. Actually, I came to allow you to learn of my decision to depart with you. I assume I'm also obliged to dwell by your side" Majestically she gazes up at me "You seem fazed. Is it too quick of a response?" A few portions of her molten-red hair flowed over her shoulder to her front, kicking back flawlessly on either side of her front while the rest plunges behind. Her steel-blue eyes along with the clash of the sunset were more divine to behold. "Not fazed but thankful. At least I did not hold my nose too long" I responded solely capturing every expression she made. It's been in my caution that observing her has become a fresh habit of mine ever since I saw her physically before me, I just find it hard to keep my gaze off her face whenever she's before me. Her gaze slightly dropped as she changes her course, moving to stay by the wall. "How far of a journey is Irpinia?" She slightly turned at the end of the question. "Gunnar mentioned" She fended, she must have thought so with how I had raised a brow at the mention of Irpinia. "Can't say for certain though it would be a long and tough one since we have you along. But that is to say only if I fail to provide a horse for the lengthy journey" "And how do you plan on getting one since I didn't come here on one myself?" I wasn't sure when my mask had cracked only felt a mild smile tugged on my lips and then I camouflaged it with a devoted stare that caused her to look away. I do know for certain the much strength I used in keeping myself from reaching to turn back her face, yet it grew heavier every minute I spent watching her side profile. "Then I will give everything to provide for the journey, milady" "Impressive" She uttered somewhat impressed "Then I will be waiting" "Not for long," I remarked. She has this habit of placing her hands before her in a majestic manner. I did quite take a notice of it since I haven't glimpsed her portray herself in such a graceful manner before. Those slim long fingers delicately rested on the other palm as she turned. This sense of longing was becoming much more difficult to control. "Oh, you're too kind" She held up her head a bit to stare at me. There was something about our height differences that drives me to beam silently whenever she perked up in that manner of hers. "A journey with two werewolves, I'm delighted" It's particularly frivolity having her endeavour to clasp in her smile, although she made an effort, regardless I could glimpse the slight stretch of her lips. I'd do anything to keep seeing these expressions. "Is it true what they say? That werewolf's eyes glow?" I raised a brow at her before answering "Yes it does. Both in our human and wolf form" "May I see?" I was uncertain why she unexpectedly became interested in learning about us. Even so, I'd say I was pleased she was interested. I peeked at the coloured sky and then gazed solely at her when I refocused. A tiny gasp escaped her rose-moistened lips as she wondered at my eyes singly, it was as if she was lost in them. She was so focused on them, figuratively lost, not unblinking but slowed, yet the impact was mild and inviting instead of harsh. Perhaps it is her lips that give away her insight, not quite smiling but tilting as if they mean to. Yet those eyes harboured multiple questions. Her lips were slightly gapped "It's... Sacred" The emotions that waft through me once that word submerged into my ears were ones I have no term to convey. Gunnar had defined them as gorgeous though the word 'Sacred' harboured much profound essence. Her gaze soon darted away, perhaps she had only conceded how long she had gaped. "Your eyes" She whispers "They glowed a bright amber. What does it mean?" "Not much explanation, though it signifies that I'm wolf blood. We all possess pale yellow or amber except for the alphas, they blaze red. Which marks their title and strength" I specified and the minor emotion I could detect from her made known there was a justification behind her sudden interest. But even so, I was willing to share, it may take longer but I do eventually learn her reason. She nods slowly to my words "So the Alphas are like Lords? Or perhaps kings?" She uttered not quite certain of her question. "They are more like a leader," I say turning to gaze at the stretch before us. "There is only one alpha in a time and a park. Strong and fearless. Our land is not much different from Zoyidel, distance from the outside world... Away from the brutality of ruthless monarchs and nobles, ones who seek only power" I rested my lower arms on the surface of the wall, turning a bit to look at her. "A place of great tranquillity, a place to thrive, communed by what we believe, that's my home" My voice died off and she gazed up at me, her eyes... Those enthralling almond-shaped orbs peered riveting yet fierce at mine. I stood silently observing how her eyes solely upheld as they scoured for something in mine. Although those eyes gave out that she was indeed in search of something, in some way they had managed to fetch an atom of hope in them in the wake of gazing into mine. "I'm pleased by the certainty of your home. I've never seen anyone talk in such a way before" "Imagine it's a beautiful place, where my likeness dances beautifully in the snow," I told her giving off an elated expression. "Then I leave it as you have said" She uttered as a gentle smile whiffed onto her sculptured face while the sunset does wonders to her impeccable ochrous hue of a complexion. Furthermore, I was left solitary and to the stillness of the evening, though by the time the world was thus far coated in its black veil, I could yet see ably except not much exceptional. Regardless that we werewolves could feel each other, especially ones related to us, I am much not certain how that meant when this far from home, I hope they never start to believe I was dead. I took in the fact that I had not set eyes on Bellamy just as soon as my gaze darted to his approaching form much distance away from the castle walls alongside a fella, presumably one of the warlocks. I let a snort escape my nose as I began again, watching as they unhurriedly drew close to the castle, he is precisely so competent at connecting with others and I'm thankful he found a way to escape his thoughts. Yet, although I appear calm and collected, I do detest the entire building's existence no matter how vastly I perch on this deck. And not because of Bellamy but because I don't belong here and that holds me on edge whenever I'm alone which led me to constantly dwell here on this balcony. I turned over and made my way through the narrow passageway into the much-sweeping hallway. I thought of hanging back until Bellamy turns up but resolved against it and began heading for the room. The whimpering arising from within the room crammed my ear upon reaching the door and I quickly shoved the door open, sending it shut behind me. In the left corner of the room was a dim lamp whose light barely filled the entire room and on one of the mattresses laid the soaked body of the young lad, quivering and struggling in his sleep. I hurriedly launched to his side pulling him a bit up as I endeavoured to wake him. His eyes snapped open like two fierce beams, gaping barbarously at every single corner of the space even though I stood not even an inch away from him, he was shaking as though he had witnessed much beyond him or perhaps he did. His eyes tell how empty his mind is at the beat as his heart kept beating at a much alarming rate. He tried to surge off the bed before my voice called him to place and gradually his breathing rate began to steady. His eyes started to take in every ray of light and without a doubt, I knew what his nightmare was about with the look he gave me. "It's okay, it's okay. Everything will be all right" I assured him calmly before his initial motion was put away and forgotten in an instant when a sudden knock came from the door.
