Episode Twenty-six

ALISDAIR Even though I could strongly conceal my emotions I was certain the young warlock could read a bit of them, although it wasn't hatred, I solely ought to keep her safe, yet the world seem to be against it. My next words were cut off my tongue just as the old sorcerer emerged from behind the fellow. His gaze fell singly on Aadya, "She will be all right, the poison isn't severe" He said and narrowly clicked his tongue. "First carry her to her room" He instructed leaving no room for further words. Gently I held her up, hand underneath her knees as I held her in place before parting the room and unhurriedly I moved through the series of hallways. My gaze darted downwards, briefly glimpsing the blood stain on my chest and then settled on her face. Her mild and peaceful face was a thing to behold, I failed to find the right word to describe how I felt watching her face nap against my chest. Her roommate instantly rose from her bed as she saw me walk in, a little baffled by the scene before her eyes. "May I have a clean schmatte" I requested halfway in. She hurried back "Is she all right?" She asked hovering about before placing the piece of fabric on Aadya's bed just as I instructed and then I laid her gently. "Is she all right?" I hear her ask again as she drew closer to check on Aadya. "She will be," I said before my gaze left the sleeping beaut and I observed as the black hair maiden's eyes trained on me on the verge of uttering some words, her expression seemed to alter slightly. "Are you all right? Are you also injured? Is that your blood?" Her voice came off similar to that of a child, perhaps which might have been induced by the chaos before her as she appears to be the kind that panics easily or perhaps talks much since she never quelled from raising a question. And her accent was a bit different, it was not rhotic which kind of made it hard to understand how fast she was going. "I was injured though now I'm all right," I told her except she seem not to believe. "Your hands are stained, I will go fetch you some water," She said quickly and hastily went through the door. I had only turned around to face Aadya when the old sorcerer came through the door. "It will only take about a while for her body to dissolve the poison" He uttered, cracking through the pacifying stillness that had once swallowed the whole room. "It would have been a much more crucial case if the young warlock had completed the ritual. Thou a question remains, what happened back there?" Although his question wasn't specific his face revealed the hidden. "Just as you witnessed, I could feel her pain and it didn't just begin this day. Her every single emotion, except this" I slightly motioned my head in the direction of the unconscious maiden indicating my point. "You couldn't for it is not pain nor emotions but something beyond. Her injury had healed because you healed and conceivably you could do more, thou yet unknown" He mentioned, his gaze travelling past me to the one lying on the bed and I turned to peek. "How long would she be asleep?" I asked turning to look at the sorcerer. "Once her body suppresses the poison" He informed me briefly except was not certain what I requested to know. "You're a sorcerer, perhaps you should be more specific, I'm certain you already knew how long this would take so speak" "How very clever of you... Wolf blood" He cited then clicked his tongue. "Not often do I perceive such certainty. "Do you consider me a fool, sorcerer? It's a bit clear you are striving to exploit this little misfortune to hold me back here" I made known gazing solely at him "A reclusive sorcerer who takes up an incident to hold down a prophecy. You want me to dwell here, you want to witness every outcome of the prophecy, don't you? Though I say to you, not even this can hinder us from departing by sunrise. The prophecy would find us just as it found us from the beginning" He was silent before the door suddenly opened and the maiden hastily walked in. "Here is some water..." Though the sorcerer interrupted before she could finish which I was a bit thankful for. "Phiona assist Aadya to quicken her recovery" He instructed calmly and exit the chamber without any further words. I turned as the maiden placed the bowl of water by the corner and proceed to Aadya's bed, she squatted placing her palm on Aadya's forehead and the other holding Aadya's palm in hers. I moved a little closer to the bed observing her process quietly, she appeared relaxed gazing down at Aadya before her eyes slightly closed and reopened, and my gaze kept moving back and forth between the two and then steady on Aadya as I start sensing her awakening. I attempted moving forward multiple times and yet my body could not approve of it, and when her eyes finally spread open I felt this relaxed sensation and a tiny smile traversed my blank face when she darted in my path, eyes latching with mine for some passing beat. "Phiona, I do request some alone moments with Aadya" I appealed. She looked up at me and then back at Aadya plausibly for more confirmation before she set up and likewise departed. She managed to sit up as I got closer to her. "Are you alright?" I asked standing by the bed. "I suppose I am" And then her eye shifted to her right shoulder, she likely had just thought back to the incident. "You healed because I did, Aadya" I let out from the depth of my belly. "We are somehow connected. The injury you had, I did. The pain you felt, I did. And as a werewolf, I healed and so did you. I can't make known how many more would come to pass and what would be required of me. Though I'm certain that I can't leave your side, I am communed to be by your side and that's why I want to plead with you to return to my home with me by sunrise because I indeed can't leave your side" My words died off and she stayed silent. "I will leave you to ponder on my plea," I told her and then exited the room hoping she would come to accept my proposal, I would have given her more time to reflect on it but the concern regarding Bellamy’s predicament is weighing much on my shoulder. I haven't laid eyes on him the whole day and now I think of it, I come to recall he does feel overwhelmed in a sealed space and this castle is nowhere different. BELLAMY Out here on the cliff, I sat gazing out into the infinity sea. The wind shook a few leaves from the tree branches and a few regular thoughts from my head, the leaves hovering in the air and some dropping down to the sea which awaits them, those tree branches and I hope for new growth to spring forwards. Daciana... She always said those windy days came to blow the cobwebs from the soul and remind you that you were alive right there at that moment. She only has to wait a little bit more, it's all it would take for me to return home. I know she gave in to this journey thinking it would only cause us about three weeks though here I stand toward the end of the second month. Been out here since before sunrise after Ali had suddenly rushed out of the room, I believed that had been because of the maiden he's fated to. I lifted my gaze above, the blue sky gazing back at me, though that one colour cannot describe it. Finally, Ali isn't a bizarre being after all. He had proven it and that will be known when he eventually returns home. He is a special being that had a duty to protect and not just a werewolf like the remainder of us. I sighed rising to my feet and began to make my way down the cliff to the other side of the castle, steering to the river outside the veil even though it's a bit too earlier, I do perhaps keep myself busy until he arrives as my thoughts were planning on devouring me. Unexpectedly I was still able to see the castle even after I had gone through the veil, I just looked back at the castle and slightly shook my head, and then proceeded to find the river. The rushes of water from near brought in the thought of dipping my whole self into the river and reflecting on zero, just a peaceful mind under the rushes of water. I neared the flowing paths of the brook. It was a turquoise-blue colour that wound its merry way through the forest seeping and snaking smoothly past all obstacles, it managed to hurdle the river's boulders also. Twigs twirled on its murmuring surface, little messengers from the mountain trees where they had come from. The mountains stood silently in the background, a brooding presence of sky-punching majesty. Though I could hear in the near distance a harsh rushing of the water and I began slowly moving in that direction. Soon I began to glimpse a weeping waterfall pouring from a gash in the rock face. It looked like a slide of silk-blue flowing down the mountain. Carrying its load of ice crystals, it appeared hemmed with silver. A distant thrumming sound emanated from it, like the steady rumble of a drum roll. Glinting brightly, it fed the river, the lifeblood of the forest. It was an awe-inspiring sight. My gaze returned to the swirling brook. I could see now how the water had gained its glassy clarity. The runoff from the ice made it appear varnish clear and the surface glinted as if dream dust had been scattered over it. Speckled trout drifted under the shady eaves of the bank, flicking their tails lazily. The sudden sight before me caused my legs to cease, there the young warlock emerged from the water, his bareback facing me though what caught my attention was the three deep grooves engraved on his back, a large claw mark. It had driven from his right shoulder to his left core and my heart rate soared, I had never presumed he was speaking about a physical scar.
