‘Hey system’ James shouted. The system did not reply.
Hmph. This kind of system is not a responsive kind of system. I guess it is better than some system which could talk and interfere incessantly to the players.

Li Xian. His name is Li Xian. It looks this kid is probably an original inhabitant of this world. If he is not, he could probably change his name.
But Li Xian looks like a good name
Since he is in the Martial World, he knows that if he wanted to mingle and roam this world, he needs to follow its culture. His face did not look like a westerner at all.
But he did not want to make that kind of conclusion too early.

He chuckles a bit.
Usually in the web novels he reads, it is the other way around. The easterners would become a western man. Like that story eh reads about a Chinese man that transported himself to become a Prince and mingle with witches and create a modern kingdom.
I guess not all story is the same. He checks his age.

He had played the game before on his PC. But at that time, the interface is a bit different than what he sees now. There is HP bar and other bars. But now, there is no bars or numbers to indicate his HP.
The interface changed completely.
The wind blows and he felt a bit cold.
He walks forward, his feet are still cold. On the sky above, thunder is roaring and then wind went wild.
But Li Xian could not care about it. He also did not feel as cold as he should be. He believes that this must be like some kind of protection for the newbies.
Though Li Xian do not know how long it will last. He needs to check all the changes of the status window before he could proceed with other plans. He still did not open his Gift pack.
He need to familiarize himself with the system first before opening it and deciding where he should use his benefits.
He touches the floating interface on the words Reputation and a new window pop up that shows about Reputation system

Li Xian look at the reputation list and he nodded.
‘For now, I might aspire for the heroic Path. But who knows? If I am not mistaken the setting is during a chaotic era. I would act according to circumstances’

He then checks the next table.
Title. He touches the interface and another pop up come out explaining what is Title table means.
Title is gained by the collective agreement of many people in Wulin. Could help generate points automatically. The more famous, the more points.
Li Xian nodded and then check the most important thing.
The Power Level. He did read a bit of the explanation about power Level when he is playing the game but there was no rank in the power level.
But now, it has one
He touches the word power level and another pop up window appears.
[Power Level is upgraded by using martial skill points and have twenty power levels. Each power level has five ranks that has to be upgraded before going to the next power level]

[APPRENTICE required 1000 skill points]
[EXPERT required 5,000 skill points]
[MASTER required 15,000 skill points]
[GRANDMASTER required 25,000 skill points]
He then checks his level Weak Body and Mind.
[Weak Body and Mind 1-5 (the number indicates years of internal energy training or how powerful one internal energy converted into years)]
[Weak in Body and Mind has to be rank up five time before going to the next power level]
[Each rank up corresponded to having the power of one year of internal energy. Reaching the grandmaster rank of Weak Body and Mind means having the internal power of five years training]
[Tips for Newbies: Better buy some manual of internal energy in the System Store. (Realization of Path – could only be bought by Wanderer of Wulin)]
Li Xian once again check the power level list, so he could better understand the power level system.

If a game is too easy one would get bored. If it is challenging, only then one could feel some excitement.
He looks at the next table.
He checks it and the explanation of it is very simple. Place of Learning is simply a place where the host is learning.
Since Li Xian knows that there is sects and martial arts schools and secret faction all over this world, he knew that when he joined one these factions or school, the Place of Learning would be activated.
He is already planning to buy a few martial arts book from the store later. That would at least give him the title Wanderer of Wulin.
And the place of learning would also be updated into Wulin. Wulin itself meaning the martial world or literally translates into martial forest.
He also checks the Internal martial technique. This must be where the internal energy technique is displayed.
He then checks the martial skill points
The notification of the system once again shows a pop up window.
[Martial skill points is used to upgrade the rank of martial arts technique. Could be gained by completing quest given by the system or adhering to one Path. Being good and doing good would also gained point. Being evil and doing evil would also gain point]
martial arts technique has five ranks
The five ranks are
1) BEGINNER required 10 skill points
2) APPRENTICE required 50
3) EXPERT required 1000
4) MASTER required 5000
5) GRANDMASTER required 15,000
Li Xian notices that the rank is the same as the rank to upgrade one power level. But the amount of point is very different.
As for Martial Arts technique since he did not have any martial arts technique right now, there is nothing written on that status window of martial arts technique.
He then checks the lightness skill points status window
[Lightness skill points is used to level up lightness technique]
[Lightness techniques - Once learned, these skills usually do not require any cultivation. Use lightness skill points to learn. Useful for running away, dodging weapons or attacking in swift manner]
Li Xian nodded as he digests all of this knowledge. Then his eyes look toward the Infamy and Fame points
He taps both of the status window and two popup windows appears as he read the explanation of the attributes.
[Infamy points used to learn Evil path martial arts technique or buying some special evil path martial arts technique in the System Store. Could also add points to skill point when reach a certain level of infamy]
[Fame points could also be used to learn righteous path sect martial arts technique that requires certain special condition or buying some martial arts skill belonging to the righteous path in the system store. Could also add points to skill point when reach a certain level of fame
He then checks Life Skill points by tapping at the status window
[Life skill points is used to upgrade Life Skill. Life Skill points is gained by using the Life Skill and practicing it in real life. The more it benefited people or harm people in some cases, the easier the Life Skill point could be increased]
[Life skill that is related to martial arts and life skills that could lead to one enlightenment of the martial path are harder to upgrade. Normal life skill is easier to upgrade.]
[Life skill could be upgraded by using Life Skill points or by manually raising one proficiency in the skill. By practicing or doing practical work of the Life Skill, one might increase Life Skill points]
[There is five Life Skill in the gathering category that could help in the path of martial path]

[There is six Life skill in the manufacturing categories that could help in the path of martial path]

[There is six Life skill in the cultural categories that could help in the path of martial path]

There is ten (10) ranks in Life Skill
1) Novice 10 skill points needed
2) Apprentice 1200 skill points needed
3) Journeyman 5000 skill points needed

The other skill window is for skill that is gained by practicing certain martial arts or skills that will not help in martial arts paths
Meridian opened is zero.
To open a meridian, he had also pay with skill points.
He had read the explanation about meridian before so he skips reading it and seeing that he has no weapons and armor and that it is very self-explanatory he also skipped the status window for weapons and armor.
He looks at his money. He had one Ding. One ding is equal to a thousand Liang. A Liang is equal to a thousand wen.
That is what he had read in the explanation about currency in the Archive section when he was playing the game.
Wen is silver tael. Wen is the smallest unit and is the base of all currency. 1000 (One thousand wen) is one Liang. 1000 (one thousand Liang makes a Ding)
And there is gold. One gold is equal to ten Ding (ten thousand Ding equal to one gold) And he has one ding. Now that he had understand all there is to understand, he made his decision on what to buy.
BOOM!
The thunder shock Li Xian. He finally got out of his contemplation.
Then rains falls down.
‘s**t, I need to find some place to shelter myself. The thunder does not seem that it is about to end anytime soon. I still have time’
He needs to be fast.
Li Xian remembers what is the first quest he got in the game.
It is to survive the onslaught of the wolf.
Since everything felt real in this word, Li Xian does not want to test whether the pain he would feel from getting ripped part by wolves is real or not.
When he was playing the game there is no sense of fear and adrenaline pumping. The visual is realistic so one could feel sucked in but one would not feel paralyzing fear.
But now that everything felt real, Li Xian is afraid that he would get frozen when dealing with the real thing.
If he is not mistaken the wolf will attack him in midnight.
Since he could not determine time, he is winging it at this moment. He is sure that the wolf would not attack him right now.
From the memory of the game that he played, it was after the rain subsided and the thunder dissipate that the wolf come attacking him.
At least, this time I have money. Before when he was playing the game he had no money. Something changed when he come into this world.
Li Xian then runs away in the dark. If his memory serves him right, there is an abandoned hut that he saw in one of his play through.

Fortunately, he done that and got to find such a place.
At least he would be able to take shelter there.
Considering the simple design of the hut, it might belong to some trappers. But its bad condition suggest that it has been abandoned a long time ago.
Even though the sky is dark and it was night, the occasional thunder and lightning shines a light as Li Xian found the hut.
Smiling, he went inside as the rain grew louder and become heavier.
Ignoring the cold and the water dripping from his body, Li Xian thought of the System Store and a pop-up window appears in front of his eyes.
