Chapter 31: Waking Up

Li Xian tried to get up. That is his first action. The first thing he felt was soreness all over his body and a certain sense of heaviness pervades every part of his being

The first thing he hears is the sound of birds. Then he hears the wind. And then he slowly felt the dizziness assaulting his mind.

He then smells a lot of things.

It was like the smell enters his nose and evoke some reaction on his nose. His nose is twitching because of the smell.  Most of them smell like some herbs and the smell of plants is heavy around his surrounding

Slowly, Li Xian is recovering his mind

He felt like he had just been awoken from a long dream. He recalls that the last thing he remembers was him fighting Shi Yuan.

The moment he remembers Shi Yuan other memories come naturally to him like he had been transported from another world and having a game-like system that aid him in his journey

Then he slowly opens his eyes.

The moment he opens his eyes, a little girl run to him.

The little girl drops her wooden bucket and come to Li Xian. She looks at him with her wide open eyes and she shouted

‘Grandpa, he is awake’ The moment she said that, Bai Qingniu who was on the other room jolted and went to the room

Li Xian try to get up and he felt a little bit pain and soreness. But he manages to sit himself on the bed.

Bai Qingniu and Xu Wen arrives. The first thing that Bai Qingniu said after seeing him was

‘Remarkable’

Li Xian takes a dep breath and ignoring the gazes of the trio, he closes his eyes and regulate his breathing and his internal energy slowly flows back all around his meridians.

His meridians seem to be drying up like a c***k soil road but now as it is being move by Li Xian willpower, like water it flows around the meridian and the dry path become moist and full of life.

Seeing there is no problem with his internal energy Li Xian opens back his eyes. But the soreness does not seem to easily go away

His calmness and poise is something that Xu Wen who was looking from the side admire.

Bai Qingniu smiles and said again

Li Xian sighed because he knows why he went into unconsciousness.

It also one of his calculations.

If he really could not plan ahead, even if he lost the quest, he would have to run away.

Seven Transformation Swordplay lack variations, while Six Divine Meridian Sword had an extreme prerequisite. That cause shim to have less moves and easily countered by Shi Yuan.

There is another weakness of both of his swordplay. The fact is that each of the swordplay he learned is exquisite. Even the Seven Transformation Swordplay that lack variation possess powerful damage capabilities.

But it is also swordplay that requires the application of internal energy. If not for that, how could he pressure Shi Yuan more complicated blade technique.

He uses internal energy with each strike, and even though he had already minimized the point of exertion of the internal energy, it did not change the fact that each time he clashes with Shi Yuan, his internal energy is chipped bit by bit.

At that time, Li Xian did not even think of any reserve internal energy to store in case that he wanted to escape.

But the reason he could win is simply because Shi Yuan could never expect that Li Xian had such a divine martial arts technique. The Six Divine Meridian Sword save his life.

From the beginning he draws out his sword and strike toward Shi Yuan, Li Xian had a specific objective.

He knows he could not win easily against Shi Yuan but that did not mean he could not win.

Instead it would take certain planning to make sure that he could win.

And that key to victory lies in the usage of the Six Divine Meridian Sword.

Six Divine Meridian Sword is not some normal martial arts.

Since he had mastered, it, Li Xian of course knows how miraculous this martial arts technique really is

They were focused in their battle, the intense clashing of their blade and sword shows their determination to kill each other but there is one thing at that initial clash that Li Xian had one upped Shi Yuan.

It is that while he knows how Shi Yuan look like, Shi Yuan do not know how he look like.

When the dust steels and Shi Yuan saw his face, a young kid face, decades his junior, Shi Yuan for that one moment stiffened. That one moment is what spells his doom.

He felt like his entire energy were pulled out and he became fatigued almost immediately.

Li Xian sighed again.

in his mind, he hopes that nearly dying would give him more points with the System. He then asks Bai Qingniu,

‘Qianbei, how long did I stay on bed for?’ Now that he had regain his bearing there is one thing in his mind. It is better to focus on his objective now that he had survived such a tribulation.
