The discovery
Another day dawns and soon my senses are awakened. I open the eyes, with some effort I got up; I have a stretch as usual, notice that Renato is still sleeping and go for my morning bath. I leave the cabin and with some quick steps I get to my destination, go in, shut the door, undress, splash water over my body and start putting on soap. With the exercise my mind wanders and rests on the previous night events. Could it be that what had happened was the tragedy mentioned by the sea Goddess? I analyse the events and end up concluding that probably not, for we have only lost seven of the thirty men on board. Despite the pain and the feeling, the event was not of great proportion. Maybe the worse was still to happen.
