Envy A little later, the afternoon begins. At this precise moment, I finish lunch and recall the Hindu’s advice. Instinctively, I decide to follow it. With this objective, I take my inseparable Bible and start paging through it. In it, I want find examples of envy. The first to appear is the case the brothers Cain and Abel (Gn 4,1-8). All because the offers from Abel (firstborn of the sheep and fat of the flock) were more pleasing to God that those of Cain (products of the ground). In this case, the envy and the revolt were able to install themselves in Cain’s heart, causing him to kill his own blood brother. Analysing impartially the situation, I understand the great strength and dangerousness of envy. I continue to page through the Bible and I read Sampson’s story (Judges 14,1-31). Gift
