Aria's Pov
We stood surrounded by three armed men, two with bows and the other with a gun. Then another man appeared literally out of thin air, devastatingly handsome, positioned to my right, tall, dark stepped forward.
"You can't outrun your destiny girl. So I suggest you swim back to the prison, until you are called upon or I do something that might cause you pain either way you can't leave here."
His voice calm but he carried authourity. I want to talk to Ichabod clayton.
"That won't be possible for now so swim back to the prison."
Kia cleared her throat beside me.
"Please, just let us go. And we won't tell anyone that you did."
"You two are funny girls. very well, we will do this the hardway then."
We begin inching backward, slow and careful, but before we could take another step, a cold metal pressed against my temple.
"Move back to the prison or I will remove you permently."
We raised our hands.
As they marched us back to the prison, I noticed the entire place is surrounded by water except the prison on the mountain.
Had two choices: jump and try to swim back and accept whatever fate awaited me. Or disobey and make a run for it and decide my own fate.
I looked at Kia, she was sacred as regret filled her eyes, which made me gulity for dragging her along.
Behind us was two men with the bows.
I learned toward kia and I motioned subtly toward the waterfall with the branches in it.
Her eyes widened in fear, but she gave the slighest nod.
I had seconds to act. I took a deep breath, turned around and waved my hands towards them but that failed, but the distraction lasted only a heartbeat, but it was enough.
We ran.
And jumped.
By the time we dragged ourselves onto land, we collasped to our hands and knees, coughing violently, my lungs felt like they were collapsing in on themselves.
We lay beneath a tree until exhausation dragged us into sleep.
"Aria a sothing voice called out."
I loooked aroundc, kia was still asleep. No one was there, yet the voice sounded real and close.
I got up frantically worried someone might be spying on us.
"Calm down, it just me my dear."
You who?
"A friend or ally whatever you want."
Then where are you, why can't I see you then?
All in due time my child. Like I said I'm a friend, and I'm here to help.
"Would you like to leave this place?"
Yes, certaintly.
"Then follow my advice and you and your friend will get out in one piece."
"Believe me I have nothing but good intentions for you."
"Now put your mind at ease and say this words like your life depends on it. Umbral oscuro...abrete ahora. Repeat three times a door will open, remember chant like you belief it."
The voice went silent.
So I did like she had instructed put my mind at ease and chanted those words "umbral ...oscuro abrete ahora." By the third time a sudden tear appeared in the air.
I stood there in shock, kia was now standing beside me "It really you Aria, the prophecy child."
"Aria don't do this, don't go back."
I looked and saw Ichabod, but before he could reach us I pulled kia into the space and it shut closed.
I looked around only to realize where I was. I need to forget him.
