The last two weeks went by fairly quickly. I'm becoming more comfortable around Kaylex and we were able to come up with a solid itinerary for the audit and identify some areas of concern. I find I enjoy working with him. He is incredibly intelligent, while also not making you feel less than. I'm glad I don't have to spend an entire flight being nervous around him. I'm of course very attracted to him, but I'm doing my best to keep that in check. Embarrassingly though I find my fantasies involving him becoming more intense. Tomorrow we leave for our trip so I've been doing my last-minute packing, going over my list of essentials to make sure I am ready for tomorrow's flight. My bags are sitting next to the front door, my passport and purse are on the entry table and I took Charlie to the kennel earlier. Now for me to attempt to get a good night's sleep. Lately, my dreams have been strange and so realistic, I wish I could understand what is driving them. For now, all I can do is try to be open to whatever message the universe is trying to send me.
As I stand on the balcony and look over the lush forest surrounding the home I feel a pull towards the trees. I have an unexplainable need to go to the forest. Suddenly I'm standing 10 feet from the tree line and I can feel the pull stronger than ever. I hear a twig break and look towards the direction the noise came from and I see a beautiful grey wolf with deep grey stormy eyes. He is as big as a horse and I know logically I should be terrified, but I'm not. I realize it wasn't the forest pulling me in. It's these beautiful grey eyes that haunt me every night in my sleep. Instead of running away, I step forward with my hand raised out in front of me. He lowers his muzzle as I approach and allows me to touch him. The second I do sparks run through my body and I suck in a sharp breath. I hear the wolf sigh in content at the contact between us. He begins to gently nudge me with his muzzle as I come in closer to pet him. His fur is soft and as I run my fingernails deep into his fur I can feel his strong muscular build underneath. I can tell this is a powerful animal, yet here he stands allowing me to pet him. He nudges me in my side and turns away from me, then looks back at me and yips. I know he wants me to follow him, so I walk up beside his front shoulder and place my hand on him to let him know I understand. He begins walking again with me staying close to his side. He carries me deeper into the forest over fallen trees and across streams. We must be deep in the heart of the forest by now and it is becoming more enchanting. The sun streams through the gaps in the thick canopy of leaves overhead, while the animals go about their business as if a woman and a giant wolf are walking through their home. Then up ahead I see a clearing the is light up from the sun. As we approach it I see that it is an almost perfect circle of trees with sun-bleached white stones circling the perimeter. In the center is a larger stone and it appears almost like an altar of sorts. The wolf goes and stands in the center of the circle next to the stone and I stand on the edge of the circle afraid to step inside. I'm unsure if Im allowed to step inside this holy place. He lets out a low growl and yips slightly, letting me know it's ok to enter the circle. As I step inside I get this sudden warmth throughout my body and feel a deep sense of calm. "Liz?" I hear in my head, but it's not my voice. I quickly look around trying to figure out where it came from. "Liz, look towards the wolf" I hear. I look back to the wolf and he is looking me directly in the eyes like he is trying to tell me something. "Liz, my name is Titan. I was sent by the goddess of the moon to protect you and love you. The moon goddess granted me the gift of introducing myself tonight. She knows I have waited long and patiently for you and this is my reward for faith in her." "I don't understand. Who is the moon goddess, what is this place, and why has she sent a wolf to me?" I ask. "Because it is the path the gods have laid before you. There are so many things you have yet to learn but now is not the time. When the time is right we shall meet again. Until then, know I am watching and waiting for you." the wolf replies. "When will we meet? Will I remember this? How will I know it's you?" I ask, burning with questions I was afraid there would be no answer for. "Yes Liz, we will meet again and soon. You will know it's me, but it may be overwhelming at first. Just remember to always keep an open mind. Promise you will keep an open mind." he says in earnest. "I promise," I say. "The goddess said it is time for you to return to your plane. I will see you again very seen my beautiful Elizabeth." Beep! Beep! Beep! A shrill noise cuts through my thoughts and suddenly I am jerked out of this beautiful dream.
Sitting up suddenly I have this feeling of loss and longing. Why did my dream have to end so abruptly? I still have so many questions. Just what I need consuming my thoughts today. A giant grey wolf and a mysterious goddess who apparently has decided to medal in my life. "Ugh" I groan out loud as I flop back down in bed against my pillow. Might as well get up and get ready to travel. Since it's a travel day Im just going to wear leggings, an oversized sweater, and minimal makeup with my glasses instead of contacts. It's going to be a long flight and the last thing I want to be is uncomfortable. Hopefully, Kaylex won't mind my less than professional travel attire for today. I check the time at its 10 till 8:00 am, so the driver should be here any minute to pick me up to take me to the airport. Better run pee before he gets here and do one last check on all the doors and windows to make sure everything is locked up tight.
